Comments: Chemi pure has been used in my tank since day one when i started my reef tank 5 years ago. Keep my water crystal clear. It keeps my PH stable. ANyone who starts a reef tank should throw a bag of these in their sump Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: well... all I can tell you is that my mushroom coral shrunk up for two or three days after adding this filter.... it has now recovered however. My emerald crab was unseen for four days after adding this to my tank.... he has now come out, but is still not moving around too much or behaving normally after eight days. .. I would strongly advise anyone who is bound and determined to try this product rinse it repeatedly in saltwater or freshwater before installing it. That may at least minimize the trauma and shorten the adjustment period that each creature will need to endure .... I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I really like both Chemi Pure Elite and the regular Chemi Pure. Both work great and have a very positive effect on the tank. Your water stays very clean when you use this product. Rinse it well before you put it in and just let it sit in an area where water can flow over it. Good product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This item actually helps maintain your ph to be stable & cleans the tank of undesired metals. You just have to make sure that you start with a correct ph in order to get the desired ph level. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have a 180 reef with approx 30 gallons of additional water in refugium and sump. I had been battling bad hair algea for over 2 years. Water changes done with RO/DI water every 2 weeks. I hit a brick wall with trying to figure out what was causing the algea to continue to thrive (tried everything). Then I placed two of the large 47oz bags into the sump, directly into the output of the protein skimmer, for 4 - 5 months. Almost all algea is gone and bright pink/purple coralline has finally returned, covering all walls and rock. Thank you Boyd for an outstanding product. My good friend, who does tank maintenance, has placed Chemi Pure Elite in all customers tanks with outstanding results. Highly recommend!!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Thank you Chemi Pure Elite you saved me. I was having so much trouble with red slime I was about to give up. I had a bio cube for a year and couldn't stop the red slime, recently I purchased a Red Sea Max 130 D and everything was good for a month then the red slime started again, I didn't have a lot of fish just three and did weekly water changes. Everyday I cleaned it up and it came back, I was about to give up. Then I read a good article on the web about getting rid of it I took all the live rock out scrubbed in salt water syphoned the red slime off the substrate then put it back together and put Chemi Pure Elite in the filter between the ceramic and charcoal and that was a month ago. The red slime hasn't returned the phosphate levels stay at zero and water changes and maintenance are a breeze. Thank You Boyd Enterprises GREAT PRODUCT! Comments: this product for the price is over priced and not worth it i tried it once on my 28nano hqi and it was not worth the problems infact went it does not last six months as says on the package but only 2 weeks leads me to belive that is is nothing more then carbon and maybe so phosphate removing resin but i should have not gone as high as the test kits were telling me if the product was working from po4 was at undectable levels to 3.0 ppm in just 2 weeks leads me to question it. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Chemi Pure Elite works great in my Red Sea Max 130 tank. Since adding the medium my tank parameters have been zero and my water is Cristal clear. I would highly recommend the medium to all. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Unfortunately there is no clear indication of how the product is packaged. I bought up the largest pkg thinking it will contain multiple packs and I will be set able to use them in multiple tanks and save a little. But it turns out that the container contains just one pkg that can not be devided. Had to return it. No idea how it works. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Bought this stuff based on feedback from nano-reef. It really does the trick. After about 24 hours my water looked so much clearer and now it looks even better. I run this in a 14g all-in-one tank with no other filter and it works great. Make sure you understand the directions as it says for my size to use a 1/2 unit. At first I thought that meant I had to reduce what was in the jar, but no the 5oz portion I bought equals a 1/2 unit. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've been running Chemi-Pure in my 24g Aquapod for the last year & 1/2 and love it. When I first started using it I could tell the difference in how clear the water became almost immediately. I'm now using it in my 3g Picotope as well. Fits perfect in my aquaclear refugium. I've never had any Algae or Cyano outbreaks. I'm positive it's due in part to using Chemi Pure. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have been using Chemi Pure and Vitachem for about 18 years now. Chemi Pure has been the most effective product in its class for me over the years, I worked in two of the best aquarium shops in the area for about 20 years. I have tried about every chemical filtration product on the market and this is the best product I have used over the years hands down. There is only one other product that comes close and I use the both simultaneously to get the the best water quality possible. I know that this product will be more effective than it counterpart. I have been using this product for 60 days so far with excellent results. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've been into reef aquariums for over 10 years now and have always used boyd chemi pure and now the elite brand. If you are going to run carbon, then this stuff is the best that I have used. I run it in all my filter areas in place of carbon. The elite has phospate removal irons that seem to work great. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I tried this because I know some people that get good results with the standard Chemi Pure, which I would definitely recommend over this product. I would not use this myself again. It took way too much time, effort and RO/DI water to rinse the carbon contained in it. Worst carbon I have used from that stand point. I could have rinsed two gallons of the carbon I normaly use with less water and in less time. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have been using this in a 24 gallon nanocube. Before using it, I had to clean the glass several times a week. Now I only have to clean the glass maybe once every three weeks. I was afraid for a while that the snails were going to starve. My PH stays almost constant and the water is crystal-clear. It is a great product. I do change it out about every 60 days however. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I BOUGHT THE LARGE CAN WITH THE SINGLE 46 OUNCE BAG I LAY IT UNDER MY SOCK ON MY 120 GALLON REEF I HAD A BIG PROBLEM WITH THE RED SLIME BEFORE AND FOR OVER 3 MONTHS I HAVENT HAD ANY RED SLIME AND I HAVENT DONE ANY WATER CHANGES BUT ONLY REPLACE EVAP. WITH RO FROM THE FISH STORE. VERY GOOD PRODUCT BUT MAKE SURE YOU RINSE IT FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN THE TANK Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
