Benefits: South Pacific Sunlight (SPS) Metal Halide bulbs are designed to replicate the beautiful shimmering light of your fish and coral`s natural environment. These bulbs are specifically engineered to enhance the polyp extension, color, and growth of your corals. Unlike some other bulbs, SPS Metal Halide bulbs are manufactured with built-in igniters (starters) that allow them to be used with any type of ballast.
SPS Metal Halide bulbs are ideal for most Acroporas (SPS), Anemones, Clams, Hard Corals (LPS), Leathers, Mushrooms, Polyps, Soft Corals, and Xenia.
Available in 175 watt, 250 watt & 400 watt In your choice of: Crisp Blue—10,000k representing 10-30 Ocean Depth Feet (ODF) Mid Sea Blue—14,000k representing 30-60 Ocean Depth Feet (ODF) Deep Sea Blue—20,000k representing 60-90 Ocean Depth Feet (ODF)
Important: Do not touch bulb glass with fingers. As with all Metal Halide bulbs, oils from your hands may create hot spots that can cause damage. Hold bulb glass with cardboard bulb sleeve, latex glove, or a clean towel. It is recommended that you replace this or any other Metal Halide Bulb once every 9-12 months depending on ballast and bulb intensity. This will keep the ecosystem vibrant and healthy.
Care: Salt and dust can hamper the efficiency of your bulb, occasional cleaning is recommended. For cleaning, allow bulb to cool thoroughly, and then remove from socket using a cloth or paper towel. Hold metal end, and then wipe glass and metal with alcohol applied with a paper towel. Allow bulb to dry before operating.

Comments: If you like a nice blue/white color this bulb is great. My leather , frogspawn and pulsing zenia have really reacted nicely to the change from a 10K.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
