Comments: I tried these bulbs based on the great ratings. Glad I did. I put in 1 new Phoenix and 1 new Hamilton and ran them for 8 hours. The Phoenix gives me a more visually pleasing color (white with the right amount of blue)and seems to make the coral and clams really show their true colors much better than the Hamilton. I changed the other to a Phoenix and the tank really looks much brighter, more colorful and enjoyable to look at and the fish, coral and clams seem to be much happier, especially the clams. The clams are opening much more than they did with the Hamiltons and the colors are more vibrant also. I have also been experiencing the same results with the hard and soft coral. The fish are just happy anyway. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: First off, thank you Marine Depot for price matching your competitors on these! My Aquapro comes with 3x 10k and they do not compare with these 14k bulbs. The tint of blue brings out the colors of my corals so much more. Very nice replacement bulbs. I would give it a 5 but this is my first set of 14k's and have nothing else to compare with. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I originally bought this bulb hoping for something more blue than my 3 year old coral life 10k, and more blue it is. However, I did have the expectation of these bulbs burning brighter as well given that my old bulbs were very old. unfortunately, the did not. It definitely is making the color of my corals "pop" a bit more. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I recently purchased this bulb as soon as it turned I really liked it. It has only been on for one day and I can already see improvment in all my corals, they seem to really like this light. It has crisp white light with just enough blue for my enjoyment. So far i'm very delighted with this bulb. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I waited about a month to make sure about this product. And i believe this has to be one of the best bulbs on the market especially at this price range. I have seen my hard corals perk up within 4 weeks and appear to be more healthy and growing steadily. The only thing im not sure about is i have the 14k and so does a friend of mine but my bulbs burn much whiter than his. I use the Ice Cap 250w electronic ballast and he uses an Aqua Medic magnetic ballast. So depending on your ballast the bulb color my or my not have a blue hugh.. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I did notice that the bulb is much bluer. It seems that there is a positive response from the corals and the fish do not seem to notice the change at all. The colors seem brighter and "pop" out more. It is hard to review since I have only had the bulb in for a week. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: These bulbs make my reef tank look beautiful. I've had them for three weeks now and have noticed that my mushrooms that were green when I bought them and had turned brown under my other halides are now emerald green again. One variety has gone from brown to green with rust red bumps. I haven't noticed much of a change in color on anything else. My clam is a deeper purple color. It was showing some brown in the mantle but I've also done some water changes. It could be the lights or it could be the water... or both. I highly recommend these lights. They'll make what you have look great! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: If you think most 14K bulbs are bit heavy on the blue side, this is the bulb of you. A tad more white than most 14K's. Comments: I have read favorable reviews of this bulb so I used them as replacements for my Current USA OuterOrbit hoods on my 450 DT. I had no problem with the original 10K bulbs. I just thought I'd see what all the fuss was about. As a photographer I realize how subjective the perception of the light palatte can be but...WOW! With the 10Ks I had a great looking tank and now I'm peering into the ocean. The Phoenix bulbs produce a crisp bright light with a very little blue. The color of the corals and fish look much better (once again, subjective). Very pleased Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is the 3rd MH bulb I have owned. I think the coloring is awesome, it is exactly the color I was looking for, a nice white/blue look. I had a generic 10k and then a Reeflux 10k before this bulp. The generic one was a waste, way too yellow. The reeflux was nice but not enough blue for me. The Phoenix 14k is the bulb I always wanted. If you are planning to install a MH light and are unsure on what K value to go with, I recommend either a 14k or 15k since it is right in the middle. This way if you want more of a white look in the future, you can go to a 10k or 12k; if you want more of a blue look, go with a 20k. I really think the Phoenix bulb looks fantastic. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have been playing with different lights from 10000K to 20000K to and a couple different brands of 14000k bulbs. This bulb gives my corals the perfect spectrum for growth and an incredible blue coloration that makes my tanks shine. I use 3x150 MH plus 8 attinics for my 180 gal reef set up. In my opinion this is one of the better bulbs for the prices. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Yes, everything you hear about this bulb is true. Amazing color and brightness. I was considering the much more expensive megachrome bulb, but after being talked out of it on nano-reef.com I hesitantly went with this bulb, but boy am I glad I did. It is MUCH BRIGHTER, and MORE BLUE than the stock 14K JBJ bulb that came with my K2 viper deluxe fixture. HIGHLY recommended! I can't believe what a huge difference this bulb has made. Comments: I have a 28g HQI Nano Cube that originally came with the JBJ Halide 14K Bulb. I wanted to go with something a little bluer and went with the 20K Megachrome. That particular bulb cast a blue/purple haze in my tank, still bright just to much, taking away color then rather then making it more vivid. I then added a Radium 20k and all I got out of that was a bright yellow light(possibly defective) After more research and more frustration I went with a site favorite the 14k Phoenix. Words can not explain how unbelievable this bulb looks in my tank!! No comparison to the other bulbs! Blows them out of the water! Corals POP, Fish everything. All I can say is Dialed In, perfect blue perfect white. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This bulb renders the best colors I have seen. This bulb creates a slight blue color that makes the corals colors POP. I had a coralife 14K and it was Yellow. I had a coralife 20K it was better but seemed dull. This has the perfect balance of color and Par.. Best bulb I have seen and it gives off a nice calming light. Great to look at.. Comments: I am on my second set of these bulbs. First pair ran for over a year before dropping PAR. My first bulbs were 13k Megacrom which were too white. Next I tried the Ushio 14k.s which have a yellow tinge to it.. XM 20k’s are decent but you lose too much PAR plus they were way too blue to my liking and somewhat dim. Since I added the Phoenix 14k bulbs (250 DE MH) I get the better polyp extension, growth and color on my SPS with these than any other MH I have tried. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Very powerful bulb with a very nice color. I am running these bulbs on the aqua medic ocean lights fixture with M80 ballast. Very crisp white/blue light output. Par levels with these bulbs are much higher then my previous AB 20K bulbs with close to the same color output. I will be buying these again in 12 months. Comments: I've got to admit that when I first fired these lamps up I almost pulled them out and sent them back. I'm glad that I didn't though. The initial color was a bit too bright cotton candy-ish blue, but by the end of the first week they burned into their final color and it's really quite nice; very crisp, more blue than white but much brighter than any 20K lamp that I've seen. If your looking for something a bit crisper than the 10K lamps (as I was), these lamps are a great choice and hard to beat the price as well. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I bought these bulbs to replace my Current outer orbit 10k bulb. They fire up very nice and work good my my fixture. I orgionally bought the ushio 14k but they did not like to fire up and the color was horrible. Phoenix have a very nice blue the bring out the colors so much better. Very good buy for anyone with the Current fixture. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have a Current USA OuterOrbit hood on my tank. The original 10,000K bulbs are from very good quality but a little yellow for me. I did some research and finally choose to go with the Phoenix 14,000K. Absolutely happy with them. I have a crisp bright light with a little blue all over the tank. The color of the corals and fish looks so much better. 100% satisfied. At the same time I would like the mention the excellent service and fast shipping I experienced with MarineDepot. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I didn't realize how much the standard Current USA bulbs had dropped off in intensity after just 6 months. That is until I put these bulbs in my Sunpod. What a difference!! You gotta get these if your running a DE light fixture. The colors popped immediately and my sps haven't been happier. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I picked this Phoenix bulb to replace my burnt out 20K bulb in the Odyssey lights I bought on eBay. This bulb is a lot brighter than the other 2 20K bulbs that are still working. Color is about the same. For $59.95 it is a good buy. The fans in the Odyssey light started to make noises and I ignored it for too long until the bulb burnt out. I was able to find replacements in a computer store. I put in a slightly higher power fan. The enclosure is running cooler than before but the noise level is higher. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Originally, I had the stock 150 watt bulb that came with my SunPod light. I thought that first bulb was amazing, but it does not even compare to the Phoenix bulb. I changed the first bulb after about 8 months. When I put the Phoenix bulb in, I needed to acclimate my corals to the light again because it was so much stronger than the first bulb. What a great product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I switched from a Giesseman 13K to this bulb. I was shocked at how much more colorful my corals were. There were several palys that I thought looked good when I bought them that were so bland looking under the Giesseman light. Once I put on the Phoenix I remembered why I bought them in the first place.It does have a blue tint, but it doesn't look fake. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is by far my favorite bulb. The performance out beats just about every other bulb out there. The coloring is incredible. Just as the others say, its as blue as a 20k but much brighter and more intense. The coral growth from the phoenix bulb is also one of the good things about this bulb. I have absolutely no complaints about this product and would quickly recommend it to anyone who has metal halide lighting, because i know that they will not be disappointed. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have used many different type SE and DE Bulbs , and by far the best bulb I have ever used for not only coral growth , but a good veiwing bulb has been the Phoenix 14K SE. 150 and 250 watt. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I believe these are a fine quality bulb, however they are very blue in my tank, almost totally actinic look. I ended up going back to a 10k bulb I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Past bulbs have been satisfactory (3 different brands). Until I installed the Phoenix 150W double ended I never new my tank could be so bright with and with excellent color. Friends comments are immediate and complimentary to the change for better. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This bulb is as blue as most 20K but it also has much better PAR. I have never seen my SPS had this much polyp extension, it's awesome! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: On a pfo hqi ballast in a pfo pendantthis is great. It will replace my 14K ushio wich looked yellow It has more intensity than a 20K ushio and looks more blue less purple by comparison ! :-) Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I switched to this bulb after using a 20K bulb for 6 months. This bulb is as blue as a 20K bulb and helps corals grow faster than the 20K without losing the natural colors of the corals. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
