Comments: It seems to be like a good bulb, but a little white for my taste. It seems like its not quite a 14K bulb, but its not yellow after it burns it. However when it first turns on its a disgusting yellow, but that goes away after the first minute. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have heard nothing but good things abour Ushio bulbs, except for the 14k 150 watt double ended bulbs. The 14 K in my tank driven by HQI ballasts, throws off a yellow glow. I am hoping that after the 100 hours burn-in that it will be less yellow and more blue, but if not Im replacing them with Radium 20K's. I wish I could return them. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I absolutely love the Ushio 70w 14k bulb, it is crisp white with just a hint of blue. I installed this bulb in my K2 Viper and all my corals opened right up and look great Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Quite a bit more yellow than I expected from a 14000K bulb; good intensity but won't be using this model again unless my corals disagree with my opinion and begin a growth spurt. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I just purchased a 250W 14000K Ushio and was a little disappointed in the color of the bulb. It seemed to be a very crisp white light when ran off my ARO electronic blast. If your looking for a bulb with any sort of blue tint this bulb will be a disappointment. I will be switching to the Phoenix 14000 immediately for it's bluer spectrum. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have been running the bulb for 4 days at 12 hours/day. It does not seem to be as "blue" as my old 14,000k bulb and it was OLD... I read somewhere that they start to "burn-in" around 100 hours. I am hoping it blues up a little more or I may replace it. I can say that it is bright enough. I am not sure what the PAR ratings would be on this bulb but for the money it is ok. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I must say this bulb is great especially for the price for it. It burnt a little whiter then i expected initially, but after a burn in period it started to develop a blue color. Very happy with product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: For a 14K it is more crisp than other brands I've tried, it really doesn't have that prominent blue hue. It does represent good color rendition and I will stick with this brand when time to replace the bulb again. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This bulb added just the right amount blue, it is a soft blue as opposed to the stark white of a 10k bulb, very happy with this product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The bulb itself is very good ad of high quality. However the bulb's electrodes were not designed exactly for my fixture and were slightly too wide, I attemped to force it into the socket, which caused the ceramic endpieces to break off. I had to reglue the endpieces back onto the bulb, but it did install good. My recommendation is to use a lubricant to lube the electrodes, press into place, and then dry with a hairdryer. Then switch on afterwards. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: So far this bulb is working great. In terms of color its very slightly blue. Mostly white. I like it more then the 10k because it really brings out the greens in the tank. There is no yellow in this bulb... Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: With a pfo ballast it made everthing look yellow. An identical settup with a 20K looked much better but not as bright :-( I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It made an Immediate Impact to my tank.I loved the look.I didnt think it looked yellowish at all.I think it looked more white than some 10k I have used. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

The best 14k bulb out there by pavster

Comments: I've tried a number of 14k 250W DE bulbs, and this one plesed me the most. The color temp is maybe more like 11-12k crisp white. I am running with Reef Fanatics ballast. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
