I like these bulbs. They give you good coral growth. They are not "blue" in the respect you would think a bulb labeled "15K" would be, rather they are white with a very subtle hint of blue. They work best if you use them in conjunction with T12 or T5 actinics.

Heard great things about this bulb & decided to try it. WOW !! Not dissapointed. These bulbs put out great par numbers for being 175w. No wonder they're nicknamed "Par Busters" !! If you don't mind a bright white light in your Reef or can supplement with actinic lights, this is for you. Great bulb Iwasaki !! Keep um' coming, and I'll keep buying.

I get awesome growth with these bulbs. Everyone who is in my reef club cannot believe the growth I get with these bulbs. I have 2 over a 75 gallon tank. Color is nice as well....not overly blue or overly white.

I currently keep a 75 gal. sps tank. This bulb blows away any 175 watt on the market, and guess what? Our pals at Marine depot stock it for a reasonable price. Finally my corals are dancing.

I got these bulbs to replace my 175 watt 14K Hamiltons. The Hamiltons were only about a month old but I wanted to see what everybody was raving about. These bulbs were about twice as bright and a pure white light, looked like sunlight filtering in the tank! I'd highly recommend these bulbs.

This has got to be the best bulb on the market. I have gone through many lighting concoctions in my 5 years of reefing, but 3 of these bad boys over my 155 bow are incredible. Less algae problems and twice the par. A bit more expensive, but every bit worth it. A picture is worth a thousand words, unless well lit. Then it's worth well over a million. Eye-yes!!!

contrary to that last review, sure they may not be the bluest of 15k bulbs. But the PAR of this bulb is comparable to a 10k, it blows every other 14-15k out of the water.
