1 micron dual density gradient sediment filter—highly recommended due to longer life and cost effectiveness. Use with 1/2 micron carbon block filter to fully prefilter water down to 1/2 micron. manufactured from 100% pure polypropylene fibers. The fibers have been carefully spun together to form a true gradient density from outer to inner surfaces. polypropylene construction provides superior chemical resistance and is not prone to bacterial attack. they will not impart taste, odor or color to the liquid being filtered when used within the recommended temperature limit. designed for purity 10 inches long Please note that these replacement cartridges are interchangeable with Captive Purity`s, Kent Marine`s, and SpectraPure`s RO or RO/DI units. We have researched the best replacement cartridges among these three manufacturers and offer only the best of each below. Although this isn't the "best" you can get, these perform more than adequately, and the price is a huge plus. With my 4-stage RO/DI setup, and taking into account the cost of carbon filters (I use .5 micron), I have found these allow for more gallons/$, when compared to the more expensive models of sediment filters you can buy. The finer sediment filters get clogged quickly are are pricey to replace often, whereas these are inexpensive enough to replace on a regular basis. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
