Comments: I received my light today and I'm impressed. This light is very cool, putting out very little heat. Very user friendly and I set it up very fast. My fish seem to like it . Very neat setting to our living room when the "moon" lights came on. So far great investment. A little tricky for a hex tank but after talking with their tech dept we came up with a solution. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Unsatisfactory

Canopy caution by DIALLO NOEL

Comments: I bought the 36 inch unit four weeks ago. I ran it on the default program (12 hours a day) with my acrylic tank that has a canopy. In 2 weeks the blue actinic bulb cracked and stopped working! I contacted Aqualife directly and they quickly sent me a replacement bulb. Well one week of running that and the new one cracked as well. Talking to Aqualife for the second time they told me that the unit is NOT designed for canopy use since the fan blows upwards. This heat build up seems to be the cause of the blue bulb cracking under the high temperatures. They are sending me another free replacement but I have to now get someone to cut a hole in the top of my canopy where the fans are in order to use this light for long. If I knew this before I bought it I would have simply got the SunDial T5 HO w/ timers and LEDs which has fans that blow out the back and claims to be designed for canopies. If you don't have a canopy then this light is HOT! If you do... its too hot for you (+$300 lesson learned). Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have had this light since Oct 09. I had a a Current USA Orbit Fixture that has worked great for about 5 years but one complaint was that the fans were too noisy. A couple years ago we moved to a bigger house that has a great room which amplified the fan noise. When my ballasts wore out this summer on my orbit, I read the great reviews on the Aquatic life and saw that people were happy with the almost non-existent fan noise. All those reviews were correct. I can barely hear the fan when the light comes on. With my old light you could definitely tell when the day lights came on. Features I think are great: single plug feature, built in timer, the fan vents go upward so I don't have to worry about blocking the vents with the sides of my canopy (I had bought a 24 in orbit previously to get around this). The only issue I've had is in December, the 460 nm side went out and I discovered a cracked bulb probably due to the ambient air temp getting too hot with my canopy closed. I now keep one side of my canopy open to allow adequate ventilation and everything is working fine. This light is a little pricier but definitley worth the money. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Lights the tank up very nice the built in timer is a great feature along with only having one power cord if I ever haft to buy a light again it will be a aquaticlife. Comments: I was using Coralife Fixtures on 2 of my 3 aquariums. There is a reason why they are cheap. The AquaticLife Fixture while having a higher cost proves you get what you pay for. The build quality is excelent and built in time is a nice touch. The cooling fans are silent (unlike the vibrating Coralife fans). I highly recomend this product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

It looks better in real life then pictures very high quality materials used. An awsome upgrade in lighting for any level tank. would defeneatly recomment this item to a friend. Comments: Funny story behind this one. I actually upgraded my tank because I couldn't get this light in a 30". I received the light in roughly 5 days; ground shipping from California to Maryland. The light was so well packaged it took me literally 15 minutes to get it unwrapped. Light looks great; instructions were very clear. I love the single cord idea with the electronic timer for the three sets of lights. Only negative was that two of the bulb retaining bands had snapped, but the bulbs are so well connected to the ballast that one band at the far end (away form the ballast) of each bulb is working fine. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The timer is very convenient and works great, the lights are powerful and add a lot to the color of my aquarium and I really enjoy the moon light LEDs. I was worried about the fan noise, but as other reviewers mentioned they are as silent as it gets. You can't hear them unless you get really really close and even then it's just a simple whisper. I've had the light fixture working for about 10 days on my Aqueon Bowfront 26 Gallon and am loving it so far. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is a very nice light. Worked great and as described. The LEDs are very nice at night and allow me to watch my fish at night. The only problem that I had with the light was that the light arrived with two cracked lights which they immediately replaced and shipped to my house free of charge. The legs that are supplied with the light were too tall for use under my canopy so I had to make some slight modifications to them. Also the light ran extremely hot under the canopy so I had to modify my canopy. Not a problem. Like I said I am extremely happy with this light fixture and these guys were a pleasure to deal with. I will defiantly do business with them again. What a great product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: After Much Research And Pondering I Decided To Buy This Lighting System Because It Was Everything I Wanted, Although It Came With A Little Ordeal, Because I Don’t Reside In The U.S. First After Much Thought I Ordered It Online To Be Delivered To My Brother in the U.S. Who Tried Sending It To Me But Couldn’t Had To Wait A While For My Sister To Visit Him Pick It Up For Me, Go Back To The U.K And Send It To Me Here In The Czech Republic..I Wish They Had Retailers in Europe.. Light Does Travel ...Anyways It Finally Arrived On In Perfect Condition, The Bubble Wrap On It Was Enough To Float The Titanic, But After Unpacking I Had To Chisel A Bit Off The Track For The Support Legs To Slide In And My Screws Were A Bit Messed With By Someone In Your Store.And i had to get a step up transformer for it too..Overall The system is great,Has A Look And Feel Of Quality And The Built-In Timers Are Perfect Which Give It An Edge Over All Other Combo Lighting Systems, and The Fans Are Quite. I Thought The System Would Fit A 100CM Tank But It Didn’t But After A Modification I Had My System Sitting Ok But A Bit Awkward. I Adore It, The Fish Love It And My Corals Adore It...So Would I Buy It Again? Absolutely And Definitely But Unless Aquaticlife Have Retailers In Europe, Solve The Issue Of The Support Legs Not Sliding In Properly And Make Lighting Systems To Fit 100cm Aquariums. Comments: We moved from a dual light compact florescent to the AquaticLife 36 inch and were amazed at the flood of light it provided in our tank. The 700+ lights are exceptional - very bright and almost give the coral and fish a new look. with the power and flood of light the unit is remarkably quiet. It does not make noise like some units with built in fans. And even with the brilliant lighting it is very cool. The built in timer is awesome! No more remembering to trun lights on or off. It is so much easier. We changed our timing a bit from the factory defaults to match our conditions and now it's perfectly timed. Our favorite is the lunar or LED lighting. We used to turn the tank lights off at night and once done you could no longer see the fish. Now, when the timer activates the LED lights, you have a visible tank with an incredible night time view. We have noticed that with the improved lighting our fish are more active and our coral is brighter than ever before. Highly recommended! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Did a lot of research on upgrading my lighting to something more intense than my current standard flourescent 130watt fixture. Of all the lights available the thing that most impressed me about this fixture was the integrated electronic control pad for setting up the light zones to go on/off which is primarily why I went with this particular light. Almost all the other brands had 3 cords to deal with to plug into individual timers, as well as 2 or 3 switches to operate the lights and/or fans. Who needs that when the typical aquarium setup already has many cords for the various components. The light appearance and overall look in the aquarium when operating is pretty much what I wanted without blinding me or being too extreme.The 2 cooling fans are very quiet,and the light fixture itself is very attractive. The 4 LED moon lights being blue in color are a little on the bright side at night for my tastes but thats minor.It still looks cool.Also was very happy with the packaging-you could have dropped this thing off the top of your house and it wouldn't have gotten damaged. So far am very pleased and would recommend it to anyone. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is my 3rd aquarium light - my first from AquaticLife and I have to say it is an excellent product and a great price for the value and performance. Someone actually did a great job thinking thru and engineering this thing properly compared to other products that I've used that I actually spent more money for. For example - it has an integrated timer - no need for your own mechanical timer - additionally, the timer can control 3 different schedules for blue/white and moon lighting. Another important feature is the integrated ballast - it is built into the light hood - no need to find a separate resting spot for your ballast. Yet another feature is that it utilizes one powercord for all lights, fan and ballast - no need to find multiple outlets and run connections between light and ballast and outlet - this dramatically cuts down on all the messy powercords. Venting fins are built into the hood to disapate heat in a very attractive way. The overall design is very stylish. It also utilizes standard - easy to buy 4 pin bulbs. I highly recommend this product - it is far superior to others I have used. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Went to my LFS and they recommended this light, they were right!!!!!!!!!!!!! My corals and fish love it!!!!!!!!!!!!, and since the timers are built in, i don't have three timers, and cords anymore!!! It is so much more simple, just program it with LED Control panel, and set timers, and you are good to go, the legs are kind of a pain to get started in the channels,but that is the only drawback, i got a lil frustrated, but didn't have to result to using a dremmel???????????I would definitely reccomend this light!!!!!!!!!!!! They also make HID Lights, that is super cool!!!!!!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

The lunar lights that came with it brought wonders to my tank and made it even more interesting. I had no problems assembling the mounting legs. The build quality seems pretty good. Comments: Unit has a feel of quality and it's built-in timers certainly give it an edge over other combo lamps just don't get too anxious to unpack and plug it in. Grab your Dremel and be prepared to machine down excess metal from the end plates in order to slide the legs into their channels. It's not that hard assuming you have the Dremel, but after a few choice words for the maker I had my unit sitting pretty. I love it, the fish love it and the coral love it...so would I buy it again? Absolutely But unless AquaticLife buttons up their tolerances and/or you own a Dremel I'm sure more than a few will be returned. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
