Unsatisfactory

Comments: After a month the lights bacame dim, then one of the bulbs failed... After that the fan stopped working so i had to go with my old fixture again. I will not buy another current usa product again... I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Have had this fixture on my QT tank for nearly 2 years. Not enough light to sustain med-high light corals for very long, but plenty for everything else. Functionally adequate, except for the fact that the fan is not very quiet, and has actually gotten louder (chattering) over time. I think Current USA sells replacement fans perhaps for this very reason? All together, OK - but expensive for what it is. For not much more you could get a decent T5 fixture with individual reflectors that would put out a LOT more light. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: great! i mean i have no ref. point since it is my first tank setup but from my friend's standpoint - it is a great lamp b/c of its features like separate power switches, etc. so far, i am very happy with it! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased this for my 125 gallon freshwater tank. It's like I have a new tank now. The lights have brought out all kinds of color in my cichlids. I agree that the fan should blow upward rather than to the side, but it's not a problem where I have my tank. They do have significant heat output, but the elevated design and fan help. Still, my tank went up 1 or 2 degrees. When I set it up, one of the moonlight LED's was not working. I called MD customer service and they shipped me a new LED to install right away, so it was no big deal. Overall, I think it's a great product and I would buy it again. I'm even thinking of getting one for my 29 gallon. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Decent looking but bulky. Usually that will make it easier to change the bulbs. The craftsmanship is crap. Poor quality plastics are warped. So much for the good ole USA when it comes to making anything worthy. I think I will buy German next time. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The 36 inch light is just right for our 40 gallon reef tank. It is bright and the fan makes little noise. 3 lunar lights give the tank a new look in a dark room. We are pleased with this light! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Its very Very nice, It has a nice intensity and perfect crisp color. My only complaint is the fan is loud, Loud loud. Good thing is doesn't run when the lunar lights on, Thats another Plus thought, the lunar light is amazing. I cant wait to have more corals and such to see how great my corals will look. I rated it 4stars cause the fan is so loud. Other then that it is a 5 star product! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: A really nice fixture let down by a surprisingly loud fan. I keep telling myself it's necessary to keep the unit from failing. If you have a center brace on your tank, the center moon light will be blocked and you won't get great light. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Quality and design is just as I hoped for. My only question was if the fixture would appropriately fit on my 24" wide tank, or if the legs were fixed in place; after receiving it, I learned that the legs can slide together or apart under the fixture from as little as 1" apart, all the way up to 26". The bulbs within are probably 18 inches wide (of the total 24" fixture so the sliding legs allow me to center the bulbs over my tank. The exhausted heat is VERY little, and the 2 LED lights are a great touch to the fixture at night. The reflector above the bulbs is very effective. I also enjoy that each light (daylight + actinic + LED) is on a different power cable, allowing me to mix up the lights or put each on a different timer. Great buy for the cost in my opinion. If any other issues occur I'll repost. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've owned a Current Satellite fixture for over 5 years and although I've had really good luck with it, corals that required higher intensity light never really thrived. I decided to purchase one of these Orbit fixtures thinking the parabolic shape would help get more light in to my tank, and I was definitely pleasantly surprised with the results. In just under two weeks my corals are already responding to the new light intensity and looking much better! I'm so glad I made the upgrade!!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Once i got the lights i fell in love with time. The lights just illuminate my fish tank and i was able to see a lot more than i had expected. Comments: This light is simply great from the price to the sleek look there is really nothing that I could think of that I'd change. Basically you pull it out of the box slide the legs on plug it in and your set. It's the best light I've ever had and the moonlight feature if so cool. Comments: I'm a hobby aquarist with some experience in maintaining a simple reef tank. I bought the 24" 2x65 Orbit as a retrofit on a 40 gallon tank, with one actinic and one 10k lamp on separate switches and cords. It also comes with two "lunar lights" which are unswitched. Good unit, excellent value, my mushrooms and chili coral like it. Lunar lights are fairly weak and centered near middle, leaving ends of tank rather dark, but that's not a big issue for me. Here's the best news: one of the actinics was defective and only fired on one side. I emailed you folks and you sent a replacement the next day, no charge, no haggle. This is the kind of customer service you always hope for and rarely get. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Having purchased the 20" PC Orbit a year ago, I've already had a positive experience w/ this lighting line. I needed a 24" and this was the first and only product I considered. Marine Depot was the cheapest w/ the best customer service!! This product also has 2 lunar lights built in which is great. I also considered using t5's but I had less watts w/ that lighting fixture + it was more expensive so I chose this and I'm glad I did. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: For those trying to chose, I've bought both. Pay the extra and get the Orbit. Much better construction. Only nits... Fans should vent to top or back rather than side and the power cords are too short. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
