Unsatisfactory

Comments: I read the afore mentioned reviews but still decided to buy these? Why, I thought I was a DIY kinda guy. Boy, was I wrong. It took my over 9 hours of my valuable time to figure this piece of junk out. The directions were lousy. The cord is way too short and there is NO on / off switch so they expect you to pull the cord everytime.. I ended up going to the local hardware store and wiring in my own marine off/on switch but even now the lights/ballast take way too long to turn on, sometimes they don't at all and I have to reach under my canopy and wiggle wires ( all of which I have checked and re-checked 15 times). Don't waste your time and money! Apply it to a pre fab which already has on/off switches, fans etc built in. I wouldn't recomend these even to my worst enemy... I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The product is great and easy to use. I do get a delay with turning on these lights as compared to the Ice cap balast I have. It is 1 second behind in start up but thats no big deal im just being picky. I only gave it 4 stars because of the lack of instructions. It gave me a picture diagrahm but I wish there was more. I am not electric inclined and this was my first attempt and I wish directions were better. But I got it done Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Well it's a good retro system but I'm still having problems with the connections. Half the time the lights don't want to come on because there isn't a good connection between the lights and the end caps. I have to wiggle them to get them to work. I know it's not the wiring because I've checked it three times. It might just be my bad luck. But once they are on... perfect. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
