  • Helps prevent fish loss
  • Immediately starts aquarium cycle

Works as advertised

I used it on my new JBJ RL30 mixed reef, dry rock/sand, and it worked as advertised. Never saw an ammonia spike and I introduced a fish right way. It's been up for 3 weeks and my ammonia and trite are always 0.

Works well

I bought this to use when adding new fish. It seems to work as advertised, I had no spike in Ammonia or Nitrite due to the increased bio-load on my tank. It might be good to point out that you need to double the dose for saltwater so it does not treat as many gallons as it does with freshwater.

I have used this on two tanks now when starting them. The previous was a 12 gallon marine tank with a 1.75" clown fish. The latest is when I started a 10 gallon tank with two 2.5" oranda goldfish. I fed them normally and have not restricted them. There was a slight increase in ammonia (as API describes), but far from any danger level and the tank cycled faster than without. No cloudiness occurred (as can be common when cycling a tank and bacteria are forming). I'm very pleased with this product.

Pretty good

I first heard about this from a friend who has a service company. He told me he had good luck starting a new customer's tank compared to just letting it cycle on its own. He let me have some to cycle a small feeder tank and it seemed to work for me too. The tank still had to cycle..it was not a instant cycle...but it def worked. I can't get it locally so I will have to order online. I gave it 4 stars. If it had instantly cycled I would give it 5.
