Comments: My original Sedra 3500 (Euro-Reef SP2) needle wheel was replaced with this one after the magnet swelled, causing it to not pull in air on a restart. I would have to blow air in the air line to get it going again. The old impeller had scuffs on the magnet from making contact inside the pump, hurting performance. Now, it is working like new again! It looks just like the original Euro-Reef impeller too, and about half the price! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Item is as advertised and works perfect. I had to readjust the skimmer after installing the new impeller. It fits quite a bit looser than the old one and it made a bit of a rattling noise for awhile. The noise went away in a few hours. This is preferable though, since the magnet will swell over time and finally seize up. Starting off with a looser fitting magnet should increase its lifespan. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have been fighting with my pump for my protein skimmer for over a year. Lately, when I lost power, I had a bear of a time restarting the pump, thinking that it needed to be cleaned, so I would soak it in vinegar to remove all the calcium and mineral deposits. That helped a bit until recently. What I learned, however, is that the impeller swells over time and subsequently gives out. So I ordered this impeller. When I changed it, the magnet grabbed the impeller with much more force than the old one, and when I plugged it in, it fired right up and pumped very strong. I forgot how well the pump actually worked! This saved me from replacing the whole pump! Because I am relatively new to dealing with all the little details of a 225 gallon saltwater tank, every day is an education. I am very glad I made this purchase, it saved me money, headache, and time! And, my fishies are happy too!!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I am very pleased with the performance of my skimmer after changing the impeller. My skimmer started right up, and producing nice foam. I still consider myself a novice, and did not realize how my skimmer's performance had declined until it stopped skimming all together. My pump was working, but not producing anything. I am glad I found out I could replace the part and not have to buy a whole new pump. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: After my ASM G-2 stopped working, I replaced the needle wheel with fantastic results. The skimmer began producing so much more that I wonder why I hadn't noticed the poor performace earlier! The impeller fit perfectly and was so quiet unlike the original that had begun to rattle after 3 years of wear and tear. This was such a great investment in my tank. The water quality has been noticeably improved. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've been in the hobby for awhile now and never knew these things could swell and stop the pump from working (feel pretty stupid). I had a pump accident and my protein skim. pump ran dry and it stopped working. Almost bought a new pump until I read some searches on google. Bought this and my protein skimmer works better than ever. Save the forty bucks and get this, my pump is at least four years old and actually produces more junk than before. actually had to lower the level because it was over flowing with bubbles! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: exact duplicate of the original. Evidently over time the magnet will swell causing the impeller to bind up. This is the solution. It fits the pump perfectly and fires right up when powered on. Ahh bubbles sweet bubbles! Highly reccomended! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Just got the Marine Depot email: "Now that you’ve had time to use your new Needle Wheel Impeller Sedra 5000, we hope you’ll take a few minutes to share your experiences in a product review [...]" I'm sure the impellers are great, but they arrived at my local UPS facility on Thursday and have been sitting there ever since :( I thought for sure they would have delivered by Saturday, but I'm still waiting for them to show up! I should have had a spare impeller available. Oh well! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
