Comments: Got the skimmer yesterday. Set it up without problems. I used a lot of additives when i was setting up my tank and therefore I'm getting a lot of wet/watery skimmate.. apparently it is normal. I got to say, the skimmer is not nearly as loud as I've heared before.. it actually makes less noise than my light fans.. so I can't even hear it. The cover box for the pump is a MUST.. the back wall of my tank is painted black so the box blends in perfectly - you can't even see it.. the only thing is that it is a little large.. so I had to take one of my rocks away. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have a 55 gal tank and I'm new to the hobby. I ran this for a few days but was unsure of the skimmer and box. Initially I got lots of wet foam from the skimmer. But, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. I used a water conditioner and that is normal. After 3-4 days running with the box set quite high (nearly at the top) it stopped producing the bubbles back into the aquarium and started skimming off the brown water from the tank. It still needs another week to work itself in. It is relatively noisy at first but has dropped in volume and is doing so everyday. Basically just like the instructions. Very simple to set up and operate and it works a charm. I would recommend to anyone that this should be a number one purcahse. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Works great, get a pitcher of nasty stuff about once a week. Is a little loud but its in another room so it dose'nt bother me. The only thing I dont like is the size of the mag 3, wish you can get the same performance in a smaller package. Works much better than my undersized pakpak skimmer. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Hi, I am very impressed with the AquaC protein skimmer. It is by-far the best skimmer I've ever owned, I've purchased/tried with disappointment many skimmers. The latest skimmer I tried prior to using the AquaC Remora Pro, was the the Red Sea Prizm skimmer. After using The Prizm skimmer for some time, just like many others I've tried, I found it to be junk. I threw it in the garbage. If you are looking for a skimmer, look no further than the AquaC Remora Pro, it is far superior to anything else on the market today. I would highly recommend the AquaC Remora Pro for the following reasons. 1. Easy Setup 2. Extremely Easy to Clean/Maintain 3. Customer Support - 2nd to none 4. Extremely Efficient Skimmer with the Mag-Drive 3 Pump It is worth every Penney of the asking price. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I bought this thinking it would end up in my tank. However, once I had my system running, I decided I wanted a Sump. No worries though, the remora Pro fits perfectly down below my 45g tank in my 10Gal Sump. It's a bit difficult to get the cup out for cleaning when I do my weekly water changes, but that is not the fault of the skimmer. It's just a little tight below my tank! 1st couple weeks were tough as it produced Massive foam during the breakin period. It would dump a couple gallons a day out of the drain port into a 5 gal bucket. Now that's it's broken in, all it pulls is dark brown stinky Skim. It rarely drains out the drain anymore. And if it does, it's not that much. I now have the hose running into a 1gal fishbowl. Great product!! 1 more thing.. Great support too.. I had a question about moving this to my sump as the skimmer is a few inches Longer then my 10gal tank. I emailed AquaC and had got a quick reply and great information. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: For the price, this skimmer works well. The Mag pump is more reliable than the Rio. It is well-built, and skims my 55 well for a hang-on tank model. For such a simple design, it produces a lot of wet skimmate. I have also not been able to avoid microbubbles. I use a piece of foam on the output to reduce them. It is also loud, though there are some mods you can do to quiet it a little, and you can easily run it on a timer overnight or while you are at work. My (more expensive) venturi-based hang-on skims a little better, but needs me there to prime it every time it starts, so a timer is right out. Overall, very good considering the price. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have been running my Remora Pro Hang-On Protein Skimmer with drain fitting plus Mag-Drive 3 Pump in my 60 gallon all glass tank for about one week now, it works great. The only negative is the noise, so I end up turning it off at nights. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Worth every cent. You would expect a skimmer with this sort of tech to cost more. I'm happy I made this decision this skimmer works fast after the breakin period. Maybe sooner for some, it started to give a thick dry foam about nine days after installation on a new tank 110gal. Very happy! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: After about the 4th day of lots of bubbles and wet foam, I started to wonder if I made a mistake purchasing the Remora Pro. Then on the 8th day, all the bubbles that were going into the tank went away - NO bubbles! Then on the 9th day, there was plenty of brown foam in the skimmer cup, so much I was grateful I purchased the overflow drain option. It is a bit of a pain cleaning the collection cup with the drain/hose attached, but well worth the reduced "maintenance" of having to empty the cup everyday. I love this skimmer and would absolutely buy another Remora. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: i recently bought this unit i have been running it for two days now during the break in period this unit has pulled more protein out of the water than my super skimmer did in one week awesome it is a little noisy but they tell you that during the break in period as for the micron bubbles this unit puts less in the tank than the super skimmer i am very happy with this unit and i give this unit a 5 star plus if you buy a protein skimmer this is the one look no further. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The skimmer is great. Produces a thick, dark, skimmate. Its not whisper quiet, but its ok. Drain fitting was fine, came pre-taped with teflon tape, but I took that off and used aquarium grade silicone to seal it. The basic skimmer is great, but, the adjustment mode is not the best. It uses a rubber o-ring around the collection cup that you set up and down, according to how thick you want the skimmate. Mine kept slipping down, so I had to glue it in place, after I figured out exactly where I wanted it to be set. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Not as good as everyone says. Nice design but the optional filter box is a pain to setup and it is also not easy to remove for maintenance. The optional drain fitting should be standard on all skimmers. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I had 2 skimmers before this one. The others were almost worthless compared to this one. Works good and installation is a snap just hang on.I really like the drain, just connect a 1/2 inch hose and run it to a container in your cabinet. If you need a hang-on skimmer this is one of the best. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: well this skimmer, what can i say..i have used lots of skimmers before i dont want to say the names of these skimmers but i just wanted to experiment a little..i have to say that aquac remora is far the best hang on skimmer you will find on the market hands down....it takes about 1 to 2 weeks for the break in period , but when it finally does you will love it without a doubt!! if you are looking for a hang on back skimmer go for the aquac remora, do not hesitate to buy it. i know its a little expensive, but well worth the money!!!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Well I really bought this because all the positive reviews...protein skimmers are new to me...I never had a salt water tank..like I do now... and really neven had the need.... I just wonder how much more or less effective the $100 skimmers are...I heard mot of them are crap.... Yes, it does remove some brown water with a bunch of crud...so i guess you could say it's effective... The thing I dont like about it is the collection cup, if not adjusted correctly led to an over flow with water all over my tank room , and I have the overflow value with about a 3-4 gallon receptacle catching it.... And this thing is noisy at times... Lastly, it take a LONG time ( 3 -4 weeks for me) to really bein to start to work... maybe one day Ill get a cheap Jeebo skimmer from Ebay and give it a try.... but for now this seems to do the job.... Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
