Comments: I have one of these running on my 110 gallon reef tank, and have been very happy with it. I upgraded to the Mag 5 pump after talking to the good fellows at Aqua C, and this makes a HUGE difference in performance, especially from the Rio 1400 I originally had on it. It is a workhorse, and cranks the sludge out of the tank in fine fashion. Also, try buying a couple extra 3/4" clamps, and clamp each connector twice. Works like a charm, even with a brick of a pump on there. For the money, and if you are looking for a hang-on skimmer, look no further. Try the pump upgrade, and ask the boys at Aqua C any questions you may have. They are prompt, friendly, and first-rate. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've owned multiple skimmers over the years and this is the BEST by far. It skims great for my predatory tank with larger fish that produce lots of waste. It constantly pulls out foam and is very easy to maintain. It is noisy due to the spray injection but I think it's a fair trade for the amount of work this skimmer does. I added the surface skimmer box and it got even more efficient. Skip the rest and try this one. It's a well made skimmer and after almost 2 years of constant running, it's still the best hang on I've ever seen. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This product seems to skim well. Taking out stuff in a practically brand new tank. It takes a bit to calm down where I was emptying collection cup from clear water from bubbling like crazy. It is very loud and sponge covering the mag needed to be removed to calm it down. Seems to work good however too early to see dark skimate. Called aqua c and they are sending me a valve for it for free. Excellent service. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This skimmer works just like it says. It took me a week to get the correct height adjustment since I couldn't find any included instructions on that, but once now I see why it's necessary to have one of these. Yucky gew comes out of my tank through this! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I had the smaller version on my 36 gallon, it worked great so I went with the larger Remora for my 90 gallon. It pulls so much junk out of the water, I have to empty the collection cup everyday. I recommend upgrading to the more powerful pump. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased the Urchin Pro for my 46 bowfront reef tank, in sump setup and it ROCKS!!! Had a little problem in the beginning where it produced too much watery foam which it would fill the collection cup within 15 minutes. I added gate in between the pump and the intake of the skimmer and now I get nothing but coffee colored junk. My water is CRYSTAL CLEAR. Just amazed at how efficient this skimmer it. By the way, it's pretty quiet for how efficient it is. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Remora pro mag 3 no skim box, This is my first skimmer I decided on this model mostly due to all the positive reviews. First off they now include 2 plastic hose clamps and the mag 3 screws on to inlet so the problems reported with it slipping off wont happen. I wont lie it's been running 4 weeks and has quietened down a bit but is still kinda loud. This is plug and play took me 5 mins to set up. It fill's the skim cup once a day to the top and i have it set to the top of the chamber { trying to pull more foam then water }.. it does pull allot of water but it is brown and green and stinks. there is also a nasty film that needs to be washed out. So it does work.. I have a low stocked tank and keep water perfect. I DO NOT use ro water just tap with some prime in it,, HINT prim and all declore stuff makes the water a bit oily so skimmers don't work as well.. so if i were using ro/di water i think the foam would be thicker... But by all means do buy { i think the skim box assory would not work very good, It would be hard to set it correctly not worth $50.00 more.. Remember stock lightly, slowly and water must be perfect... Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Had to replace old one that lastest only 3 years. Had problem with screw thread wearing and leaking as well as foam cover warping. No heat so not sure why. Comments: I had freshwater tanks for a few years,but I am new to the saltwater tank scene. I originally bought a red sea prism it was okay but took a lot of tweeking almost constant. The AquaC Remora skimmer works great. I just had to hook up the pump put it in the tank and plug it in, besides minor adjustment of the cup to the right height. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have had my Remora pro with mag 3 for about 6 months. The pump doesnt stay on, causing numerous floods and potential electrical fires. Thank goodness I was home when they happened.It does skim well, but I am spending more time cleaning up the messes. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Great morning goodness in my cup. Dark green/brown sludge. A little sceptic at first but i am a believer now. After 3-4 days near silent operation with rich brown green sludge. Has a Bak-pak on it for 6months and never saw close to these results. After breakin peroid it performed flawless. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is truly the greatest HOB skimmer out there. I had one of these a few years ago on a 55 gallon fish only with live rock and it kept my water in pritine condition. I just purchased another one for a new 40 gallon tank that I am setting up. With the 60 pounds of live rock curing, it pulled out the thickest/darkest skum I have ever seen. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I really like the Remora Pro, especially because it comes with the option to include (what I consider) one of the best pumps on the market. My only problem with the Remora is that the break-in period is over 2 weeks, i'm starting to get some dark skimmate, but not nearly what I would expect. It's very obviously built for quality and hides well on the back of my refugium, though it is very tall, make sure you have lots of headroom, and that your refugium is tall enough, mine is barely tall enough the bottom is almost sitting on the floor. But all-in-all I love it. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I installed this four weeks ago on my 50gal tank and it does a great job filtering....but wow....it sounds like a coffee grinder. I have to unplug it in the evenings when we sit in the same room. One idea, I stuffed floss around the edges of the air injector which makes a mild improvement. No, I would not recommend this product until someone can fix the major noise problem. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I was amazed how fast shipping was. It was shipped the same day and I got it within 2 days of ordering. Skimmer instruction was a little confusing. Once we figured out that the suction cups for the rio didn't need to be attached and that the threaded pipe didn't need to be used, everything came together. A picture for final installed piece would be nice...we found out picture on ebay. Skimmer worked really good (We are returning the Sea Clone one). Water is really clear. Within 10 days of tank setup we got the tang & 2 clowns in. It's been 3 days and they seem to be doing OK. Only running complaint is that the rio pump is a little noisy. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The portion of the cup that goes into the foam chamber is almost a 1/4 inch to small. This lets a lot of bubbles flow back into the main tank and also decreases the quality of the foam produced. I purchased an Urchin pro a few years ago and the quality of the construction materials was better back then. In the past they had thicker acrylic with smoother edges (not sharp to the fingers and sturdier). The pump is great I have never had any problems with it. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: before buying the remora pro i used 2 bakpaks on my 75g mixed reef. the remora pro easily out performs the bakpaks. it started producing a thick froth after only an hour or so. the remora removed in one hour what my 2 bakpaks removed in 2 days. i highly recommend this skimmer if you are looking or a HOB model. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have two remora pro skimmers one on a 55 and another on a 47 tall reef tank. Very easy to setup and break in.The bio load in my tanks are low with only a few small fish and mostly sps coral. These skimmers still manage to pull out dark brown to black sludge every week. Comments: Simply as a skimmer it deserves five stars, but since it is a HOB skimmer I gave it four stars. The pump is unsightly big, even for a 75 gallon. There seems to be a design problem too because the skimmed water is returned right back onto the pump. I wish I would've known about the Deltec MCE600 HOB skimmer before I bought this... I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: After reading all these positive reviews about the AquaC Remora Pro, I ordered one myself and all I can say is that I was less than impressed!I found that a Red Sea Prizm Pro Deluxe properly adjusted and broken in can pull just as much (if nor more) waste out of my tank that an AquaC Remora Pro can and with not nearly as much noise either. The noise from the AquaC Remora is unacceptable in my situation and I didn't care for the amount of bubbles going back into my tank either. I also had to replace the Mag 3 pump on the Remora pro due to a piece of impeller breaking off which set me back another $80.00. I thought the O-ring for adjusting the collection cup on the Remora Pro was pretty chintzy too. I much prefer adjusting the flow rate on the Prizm Pro for this purpose than using the Remora's O-ring. The Remora Pro skims ok but I went back to my Prizm Pro. The Prizm Pro is much quieter and fits my tank surroundings much better with a lot less hassle. In my opinion the Red Sea Prizm Pro Deluxe gets a much undeserved wrap. It may not be the most efficient skimmer but it does what it's supposed to do and I will take my Prizm over the Remora Pro anyday. I would not recommend this product to my friends.
