It is my first chiller. So far I am happy with the performance. It keeps water temp at a steady 79 deg with about a 50% duty cycle using around 200W of power. My tank has 2 175W MH and 2 40W flourescent lamps, a 57W UV sterilizer, a water cooled external pump, and 2 power heads all adding heat to the water. It is a covered acrylic tank, well insulated from the room temp. The chiller is reasonably quiet, sounds like a mini-fridge plus an electric fan when it turns on. Not at all distracting in my living room. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
