AquaMaxx ConeS Series In-Sump Protein Skimmers efficiently remove organic waste from aquarium water. With an advance bubble chamber design that features numerous conical diffusers, the turbulence in the reaction chamber is reduced and a stable laminar flow is achieved to maximize efficiency and performance.

In conjunction with the innovative bubble chamber, a powerful needle wheel pump generates optimally-sized air bubbles that force protein, waste and other materials through the hybrid cone body and into a collection cup for easy removal. The AquaMaxx ConeS Series is rated for aquariums 175-500 gallons yet are small enough to be concealed in a sump underneath your aquarium.

Great new skimmer

Comments: Build quality is great, foot print if you have limited space in your sump is great. First I disassembled the skimmer, washed with warm water and vinegar rinsed well with warm water, put it back together. With in 30 minutes it was up and running perfect. If you don't have an ATO it will require you to adjust according to your water level, keeping it at 9 3/4 inches is perfect with no splashing and no further adjusting producing a fair amount of medium dry skim ate. This unit is almost silent no noise from the air intake and just about no noise from the pump. In all I'm very satisfied with this skimmer, crystal clear water, typical AquaMaxx quality and pricing. Comments: I like the appearance of this skimmer. It looks like a rocket. The collection cup style is innovative. Another strong point of this skimmer is that it is very easy to take apart for cleaning. It produces nice foam after about 6 hours. This skimmer is quite compact. I sometimes am doubting if it is truly rated for 175gallon. The Sicc pump is very nice eventhough it is only 360L/hr. The little cones inside the bubble plates are pretty nice too. I like this skimmer a lot and considering buying a second unit.

Comments: This is my second AquaMaxx skimmer and appears to be the best of two. This skimmer is cone shaped with strong good bubble spread. This skimmer fit my sump due to the 5 inch base size. This skimmer far exceeds others I have used and only in the first day of use. Their are a few refinements with the collection cup that will lead to easer cleaning and maintenance.
