Aqua Euro USA

Maintain a pure, healthy marine aquarium ecosystem. Remove more organic waste. Reduce water change frequency. AquaEuroâ„¢ Protein Skimmers maintain a clean marine aquarium ecosystem by effectively eliminating dissolved organic compounds (DOC), which is a must for keeping a pure, healthy environment for your aquarium inhabitants. Protein Skimmers mix air and saltwater rapidly causing dissolved organic waste to separate from the water and adhere to rising oxygen bubbles which collect in the cup of the skimmer for easy disposal. Removing dissolved waste decreases nitrates and nuisance algae in your aquarium. A protein skimmer next to live rock is the most important part of filtration for saltwater aquariums.

Not worth it

I got one of these over the summer and holy cow I'm having the hardest time dialing it in without having micro bubbles. Ive tried messing with the sump level and the skimmer controls and nothing. I think I'm going to have to put ball valve on the pump

WORTH BUYING!!

I bought this skimmer about 2 years ago. I still have it and using it in my current set up. I am writing a review now because I feel that you can't fully critic a product in a matter of months. To start off, the construction of this product is amazing, it is made of thick acrylic, and it's put together very nicely. This skimmer produces tons of bubbles, and the bubble plate serves it purpose very well. The amount of skimate it pulls is amazing, thick dark waste. I have probably cleaned the pump and skimmer twice since I have been using it and it's still ticking. Very quiet. I would buy this product again. Great skimmer! Cons, would be the instructions are very limited with information.

Wow

at first I was specticle with all the reviews I seen. I knew I had to at least try this skimmer. Once I received this product, I found all the review where acurate. This is by far an underated skimmer and it is easy to use. The features I love about skimmer is the bubble reducer really works. I had a problem with my last skimmer making a ton of bubble that made my tank look cloudy. The only down side I see about this skimmer is it two a little longer to get a good skim. Other than that the best skimmer I have ever used. I have a 180 with a 40 gallon sump.

Excellent Skimmer

Bought this skimmer back in February 2010, very well built, easy to setup and adjust settings for amount to be skimmed. Skims the water very well, picking up lots of waste. Excellent buy

Excellent!!

This is a well built skimmer! I like the body alot and you can't beat the price. I have been using this in my sump for 9 months and have been very happy with the performance. It does a good job skimming. The needle wheel pump produces a ton of very fine bubbles and I like the bubble plate which even out the spread of the bubbles that lift from the body towards the collection cup. Overall, I think this is a great product.

135 clasic

I bought the 135 classic at a local fish store...for like $300:( i know smalls hopes have to make a profit to survive but no reason for $100 mark up. I confronted the guy and was refunded some money. The skimmer i got from him was unlabeled like the one you see in this pic. the bubble plate is also at the top instead of in the middle of the bubble cylinder. the only thing that was labeled aquaeurousa was the pump. the picture in the instructions don't even match. i think i got swindled. or it was a super old model. The instructions i received was the proper instruction, but they are not very detailed for someone setting up for the first time and the aqua euro usa website sucks big time.product support/info/usage info all is very limited. i left off the diffuser because i think it limits the airflow and its not that loud. i just want to know how far i can stick in the pvp conected to the pump into the bubble plate cylinder section, does it matter? how high do i need the water lvl? just somethings i cant find considering its my first skimmer overall: considering mine might be a copy or d.i.y. skimmer , the dimensions are the same. i believe it is a somewhat decent skimmer. it could be better though. i would not buy another one from this company. i would recommend another brand based on many reasons none or if little accessory, info, and poor website. if you like this type of skimmer ,octopus skimmers, i think would be your better bet.

Easy to use, very well built

I really like my Aqua Euro skimmer. It is easy to use and it works well. A bunch of tiny bubbles! Takes a couple of days to break in, but once it does, it pulls out large amounts of dark skimmate.

Great Skimmer!

This is a very underated skimmer. I have used an Aqua Euro 135 skimmer for almost 2 years now and I have been very happy with the performance. Simple to use. Just set it in the sump and plug it in. It went to work right away and pulls out a bunch of junk. Definitely a good buy.

Great skimmer, very easy setup

After finally upgrading from an E-Bay special, this is by far the best skimmer for the money. No difficult settings, no trouble at all. Pulls out some nasty skim in short time. In my opinion a gread deal for the dollar.
