Crystal Clear Water

We use the Pureflo in the sump of our 600 gal indoor tank and it really keeps the water clear. My husband recently enlarged our sump tank, and now the material sizes available are either too large, causing waste to cut down, or too small, requiring small strips to be cut to cover the gap...inconvenient, but doable. When changing the material we wash off the dirty pieces with the hose, then wash it in the washer using hot water, no soap! Great product!

Great

I have the eshopp 300 system with an overflow box and sump it works great with my system and I noticed the water was crystal clear but the only drawback you will need to change the pad weekly if not it will cause an overflow. So I added the blue pads and put the aqua pad underneath and no overflow. The pad collects more junk and gives you crystal clear water.

Works well, but causes foam.

I run this periodically to get the really small particles, however it seems to have some chemical in it that causes my protein skimmer to foam and overflow for about 30 minutes. I now have to remember to turn off my skimmer when I change the pad.

really clear water

It makes the water clearer than It has been before. You can see the difference in only a couple of hours. I have only used this filter material a week and it really makes the water clear. Down side it needs changing often, but you can just rinse off the debris and toss into the washing machine and re-use. Or just cut off another piece like I do. I haven't tried washing it yet. I am using this in a HOB filter and is is really cheaper to use this than the expensive manufacturer's ones that don't do nearly as good of a job.

Pure clean water

I have a 200 gal. Tank with african cichlids and is heavily stocked, the tank runs on a Eshopp 300cs wet dry filter, I have used the 100m aquamaxx filter pads since day one of the tank set up. It still amazes me how much it catches, I run a bonded blue filter media under the pad to catch any thing that may get though witch is very little. I wash the pads about once a week and I still have the same pads I started with over a year ago, very tough and durable. I want my water crystal clear and the aquamaxx does just that with ease. I highly recommend this product to any aquarium enthusiast.

surprised

i placed this inside my hang on back filter. just as an extra filtration....OH MY! i thought my water was clean.....no...no it wasn't. this is helping so much clean my water. it's fantastic! it's re-usable. and i just cut a piece the size of my filter and i have SO much left over! it's amazing when i look at it in the filter and see all that it has caught. i have a lot of fish that give off a high bio load so water clarity can be hard. but this is fantastic. would def. recommend.

Awesome!!

You can still use the 50 micron with a high flow system. I had originally bought the 50 Micron pad but as my Proflex Model 4 is high flow the water would just over flow. I ended up ordering the 100 Micron instead and it still overflowed a little. After thinking about it, I ended up putting some AquaticLife Media Bonded Blue Pad down first and then laid this on top of it. This allowed the water to flow through the 50 Micron pad anywhere (not just at the drip holes). My water is much clearer now. Fantastic product.
