Not Good For Soft Water

If you have softer water that South and Central American Cichlids prefer, this 7 day pyramid can take over two weeks to dissolve even with the largest of fish constantly pecking at it, chewing it, or moving it around the tank. We tested this in our tanks only to find out that the pyramids took too long to break down and did not have enough food for anything other than the smallest 20 fish you could imagine (guppies maybe?). In neutral to harder water, this is not an issue and the system works well. If you have soft water or larger fish, consider putting the money towards an automatic feeder...
