Comments: THIS FILTER IS A HARD SPONGE,AND THATS HOW IT WORKS HARD TO KEEP SMALL DEBRI FROM GETTING BACK IN THE AQUARIUM THIS FILTER ALONG WITH FOAM 20 FOR LARGE FILTERING WORK WELL TOGETHER IF YOU HAVE RENA XP CANISTER FILTER
