Comments: Just like other API test kits, the calcium test is extremely easy to use! Its fast, just drop 10 drops from bottle #1, then just 1 drop at a time from bottle #2 until the color changes from purple to blue. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've used two other Calcium test kits which had varying results even with consecutive tests, this product was so easy to use and the color change results were very distinct. Finally, an accurate reading... exact same result three tests in a row. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: i use this and salifert. i wanted to see how much calcium was in my effluent from my calcium reactor so i could not use salifert. this worked great and provided me the info i was looking for. as for testing tank levels, the was a variance of 20 ppm of calciu8m when compared to salifert test kit. overall A+ Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: A good test kit for price but I have a hard time telling when it turns blue as I have to guess as it looks purple to me. Instructions say when it turns pink to purple, it will turn blue a few drops later. I struggle to see it and just go with a number after those couple drops after it first turns purple. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I use this product between my once a month Salifert Strontium test which includes Calcium. It easy to use and fast and a whole lot cheaper. This is now the only API test kits that I am using. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Fairly easy to use. A little messy as every time you take the cap off to add a drop a little liquid escapes. You can add 15 drops at first then go one-by-one. Compared it to Salifert. Salifert gave a reading of 370, API was at 400 (tested each twice and got same results). An 8% difference. Significant? Maybe for some. Which one is correct? Couldn't say. Salifert is supposed to be the "gold standard" but that doesn't mean it's the best. The API is certainly a lot cheaper. At this price you can try both if you're leaning toward the Salifert. That's what I did. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: didnt work for me at all. i have been testing my own water for 20 years. i tested three times and all three were very different. cheap tests usually dont work I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I found this test to only be off by 10 compared to the high dollar Salifert test kit. Say 400 to 410 for exsample. Which one was is right I don't know. But I like this test much better than the Salifert. This test is very simple. Add ten drops and shake. Then add the the other drops and shake until it turns blue. Very simple and fast. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is a wonderful test kit, but if you are measuring calcium for a reef tank, this kit has a limited amount of tests. Mine normally last 50 tests. Be ready to buy two at a time, as they run out fast Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
