Great
Does the job by J.ARNDT

Comments: After struggling with the local water issues, I decided to give an RO a try after using a simple carbon filtration hookup (while that works too it doesn't remove all of the toxins nor lower my KH/GH enough). So, looking for a less expensive alternative I discovered this little unit on the boards with some positive hype. The package includes all of the filter pads/membrane, tubing, tightening tools, and was easy to put the bits together well other than having to locate a No 2. 5" or greater phillips screw driver to remove the enclosure itself. I ran the unit over a couple of days to clean the membrane (as mentioned in the manual) and from there on have been producing very high quality water with no carbonates, phosphates, and the KH & GH was 0 - 1 degrees, down from 4 & 12 respectively. That was all the great news, the cons are the typical RO waste to pure ratio, about 4:1 depending on the quality of water coming in. I would recommend this to those who have patience and don't have access to high quality water at a LFS, or the alternatives are just not suitable for your needs.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I got the 60gpd deluxe model not the power model. It seems to work well,I have a hard time getting the lines in but that was my error. Also gotta have a LONG phillips head to put the ro membrane in and i didnt. I dont have a TDS meter but I was having a serious diatom problem i did a water change and it seems to be subsiding. So thats gotta be good sign. Happy with unit thus far.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This RO/DI system works rather well and is a great buy considering the features it has. It has a built in flush valve as well as a booster pump which helps to increase efficiency leading to less waste water. Also, the loading of the cartridges from the top is definitely a plus! It's much more convenient and less of a hassle than the traditional unscrewing of the entire canister from underneath. This unit brought my TDS from 623 down to 2 (which in perspective I'd say is not bad at all; then again I'm not sure if my TDS meter is calibrated accurately or not anyway). But still, it did pull most things out. The only thing I didn't like was the annoying beeping sound whenever you plug and unplug the unit. Also, it's very sensitive to water spills. There is a cutoff switch on the unit that shuts the pump off (hence shuts the unit off) for every little drop of water that spills. That means having to take the unit apart, wipe it down, and wait a few hours for it to dry before using it again. Other than that I'd say it's a pretty solid unit.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
