Great
Nice bright light, good looks by ROBERT SANDERS

Comments: I had the stock 18W normal output fluorescent on my 29G planted tank and the growth was lackluster. Since adding this everything has perked up, and in addition, the livestock show up much better than before. Even the little Platy fry and juvenile trumpet snails (barely pinhead sized) are visible. The construction seems reasonably solid, and it's an attractive unit.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

AquaticLife T5 HO Light Link F by Ryan

Comments: This is an excellent hood. And cheap! I have a 50 gal, tall tank (48") - thought I needed a larger set up, but these two T5HO bulbs are all that it needs. I have all live plants - a lot of them - and I have seen the difference already. The roseate bulb is a must - glad it comes with this. I had tiny little surviving Amazon swords at the very bottom that are now booming - this light finally reaches them. My red plants - are actually red now. This degree of light change was all that was needed. The hood lights up immediately - no flickering. It does not generate as much heat as my old one - and it offers more light. Very light, thin bulbs. The packaging was simple bubble wrap in a large box. With another small box inside with the hood. The hood is a lot thinner than I thought. This is good. You do have to take one side apart (a few screws) - slide everything out - and install the bulbs and acrylic properly, and the legs. Easy. The serial # is inside the hood! So don't reassemble it without first jotting that down for the warranty. I used to have a standard hood that sat flush on the surface of the tank, two fluorescent bulbs - AND a glass cover in between that always got full of algae. No more. Glass, by the way, blocks out the useful UV light that plants need. But I had to have it to protect the bulbs from any splash. This new hood comes with an acrylic cover - and acrylic does NOT block out the needed UV light. Great combination. It does not sit on the tank like a traditional hood- it is raised, so you have some light coming out the side of the top. To take care of that I used some simply well-ventilated materials to simply lay on the side (front of tank). Looks fine. You want the hood to be a little raised I think - safer, better ventilated (there is no fan in this hood), and looks pretty cool. I just can't believe that all this time I was using those horrible standard flourescent bulbs.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

48" 2x54 Watt T5 HO Light by LMB

Comments: This is a must have!! If you have just the stock tank top and single light that came with your aquarium this will blow you away!!! I put this on my 55 Gal fresh water aquarium and it makes the stock light look as if it were a flash light by comparison. I almost need sun glasses to look at l.o.l. and the fish need sun block. You can't go wrong with this light and now I will be able to have live plants in the tank and have them not only survive, but flurish as well.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
