She works!

Works great for me.. I had to remove the 1" tee and replace it with a 1 1/2" tee for me to use it.. Doesn't leave a big footprint so I'm able to remove my skimmer, if needed without removing the holder. The filter is easy to replace, which is a must for anyone using sock filters..

meh

does as advertised with one major flaw, and one minor. minor-the height that the filter socks sit at is pretty low. take a look at the new cpr height adjustable sock holder (i have no experience with it, just saw it in the new catalog). major-the T pipe in the unit, the part that is perpendicular to the vertical drain section, is OPEN! water comes out of the T (and not in the filter sock) and for those of us doing fun ultra quiet things with our drain pipes, it introduces air into the pipe! unacceptable for us bean-animal overflow types!

Great product

Sure with a local acrylic shop you could DIY this piece quite easily, but for a temporary sock holder before I build a new sump the price is right. My only gripe is that you can't remove the PVC fitting, of which I have no use for.

Great Product

Love these things......have several incorporated into my system now. Easy to change out and even to modify for larger outflows.

Berlin sump acrylic mount

Purchasing this due to filtersocks overflowing. This was the perfect solution very tidy acrylic mount for my filtersocks to stop the overflowing. This is perfect for anybody who wants to use filtersocks as mechanical filtration and a way to have them neaty placed works wonders. would recommend this.

Good fix

This is a good quick fix if you're looking for extra filtering capacity without radically altering your sump. I was looking to clear the water after filling a new tank and this did the trick. THe only downside is the size is so large, I found the filter sock resting in the water of the sump on a 120 gal tank. It did its job as an occasional filtration. I might look to build something a little more permanent for a long term application so that it doesnt suck up sump space.
