Comments: I have used this product and it works great. Cleans the tank right up.The key is to use it consistently and not just once.It actually takes two treatments to really remove it all. Highly recommend. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have been doing saltwater for over 30 years, and have never had a cynobacteria breakout . I have recently moved in to a new home with well water and the house filter was not working properly and this cause really bad water quality that even my RODI system could not handle. Needless to say it effect my tank. Treated twice and did my water change and replaced carbon. Worked great my reef is coming back and no sign of Cynobacteria any more. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Well, used it as directed. It cleared out 85% of the red slime as advertised. Had to use it again as directed. It cleared out more but didn't get rid of the stuff 100%. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I used this product in a tank that had very few problems over 3 years. I followed the directions exactly. Within 24 hours, everything in the tank was dead (fish, coral, starfish, snails, etc) except the red slime. The need to do the water exchange at the end of the process I knew meant it could be harmful. So I followed every step exactly as outline. I never expected this kind of destruction. I have friends who have used it with great success. What I see is inconsistencies which make it dangerous to any tank. Realize that the need to do the 20% water exchange means something is wrong. I wish I would have followed my gut on this one. NOTE: I only gave it one star because it won't let me rate it a zero. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I changed water and vacuumed the Red Slime on the gravel. Added the correct amount and 48 hours later, no red slime algae. I will change 25% today and add Charcoal to remove the Chemiclean. The Red Slime was a left over from cycling 120 lbs of Live Rock from Florida. My Nitrates are < .05 and no phosphate. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This product is terrific. I have a professional who helps me maintain both of my reef tanks, and my 220 gallon tank gets cynobacteria from time to time. I noticed him using this product, so I tried it myself. I do go in and suction the red slime off prior to adding this, and I am thrilled with the results. Don't hesitate to try this product yourselves! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I used the product as directed to try and treat a slight to moderate red slime algae problem and lost several sps corals which bleached completely white following use, a clam that is currently hanging on the edge of death and zoos that have completely closed up and havent opened yet for 3 days. Despite the recommended water change, installation of carbon and other purification media, the death toll continues to rise and my house reeks of it. I should note that fish had no problems and the red slime is gone with the treatment, but that is little consolation. Prior to use, my chemical levels were all excellent and phosphate levels were too low to measure by a Lamotte kit. Chemical levels still read fine, but I am wondering if the product killed my nitrifying bacteria population. My only hope know is to do more water changes and hope my skimmer can keep up with the death load. Ive been in this hobby for 20+ years and this is the worst thing I have ever done to my tank. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I had a terrible red slime algae problem, and had manually removed most of it, which was predominantly on the sand, on at least 3 occasions in the past few months. Somebody gave me a different red slime destroyer to use and it did nothing. I removed as much algae from the floor of the tank as I could reach with a vacuum, treated the aquarium for 3 days in a row, and I haven't seen any red slime for over a week. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Used this product as directed and all my cyno was gone in three days... then repeatedly used it over and over again when the red dread returned again and again until I used all of it... I encourage people to hold off on their reviews until they have time to completely review the longer-term value of a product. Aiptasia products, for instance, get great reviews but also product only short-term results (those products actually make the problem worse, as they NEVER are able to completely seal off the mouths of ALL targets and therefore end up doubling your problem)Water flow and tank parameters are the real solution... I am ashamed to have turned to this quick-fix, as I should have known better. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Always wanted a marine tank. Took the plunge about 4 months ago, after alot of tedious research. I was determined to have the (natural, without chemicals) tank that was so often recommended. Well..., that was then. After fighting red slime for 2 month. Cleaning, scrubbing,vacuming gravel, water changes. I could not get rid of it. It was even going into the sand, and had heavily covered all my live rocks, and was floating on the top of the water. What a mess!!!!! Turns out I got the red slime from my local Pet Co. While in there I was telling them of my problems. They had recently got this Chemiclean from you, and told me how great it was working for all their tanks. You could see the difference. It was mostly gone in 48 hours,and the rest is going away too. I followed the directions to a "T", as stated you must to avoid any loss of inhabitants. The small bubble airstone (not large bubble)is an absolute must too. I couldn't be happier. My water looks great! Wish I had know about this before. Fish, plants and I are happy again. I'm going to give the Boyds, Chemipure a try next. If you have tried all the natural remedies, and are at your whits end like I, go ahead and get it, it works! Just dont be lazy about following directions to the "T", because I believe that is where some others have went wrong. Hope this helps, AGNES Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I was truly amazed this product worked as advertised! I had a significant outbreak of Cynobacteria that I ignored for several months and tried to control just through water changes. Just before my latest water change I cleaned as much cyno away as possible then used this product as directed, and after 48 hours it cleared all my cyno, with no harm to fist or inverts. (I followed directions exactly, no skimming for 24 hours, heavy aeration for 48, then 25% water change after 48 hrs. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This stuff is great! It works as advertised. Unlike other red slime algae removers, this stuff does not smell, or yellow, and here is the best part it disolves quickly in water. There have been no ill effects to my Fish, Corals, Invertabrates, or Micro and Macro Marine Life. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This product works well for me and eliminates the problem without affecting any of the items in my reef. I cut the dosage to about one-third to one half of what the directions call for, and although it takes a few days longer, the red slime is eliminated. I keep my protein skimmer turned off for about two weeks and then restart it after a water change of about 10 percent. At first the skimmer is pulling out alot of liquid, so you will want to keep in eye on it until all or most of the chemi-clean is removed. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I used this product exactly as directed, complete with airstone. In 24 hours, it had destroyed every single living organism in my tank. Two tangs, two clownfish, a half dozen corals, and every single invertebrate. Over a thousand dollars in livestock gone. I would not recommend to anyone under any circumstances. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I had an issue with a small amount of red slime algae in my tank. Water changes, increased flow, limited feedings did slow it down some but it was never completely gone till I tried this product. I followed the directions, made sure to add an airstone and did a water change 48 hours after the treatment. Happy to say that my red slime is gone. If all the other options to remove red slime from your tank fail then try this product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: We had a cyano outbreak in two separate 150 gallon systems, both green and red cyano. We used the chemi-clean in our fish only system first, within 36 hours all the cyano was dead and gone. We then treated our reef system and within 24 hours there was no cyano. There were no deaths in either system. Great product. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Have used many products claiming to control Red Alge [not really alge at all] but many don't or have bad effects on your bio filter. Chemi-Clean worked as advertised. Just follow the instructions. Be sure to suspend carbon filtering during the first few days and make sure [as instructed] you perform a partial water change after 48 hours. It worked like a charm and I had no ill effects like others had described. I also don't have inverts. so I can't report on that experience. However, for my fish only, 300g tank it worked well. A product I will use again if necessary. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I inherited a 150 gal tank that was completly covered with red slime. I've changed water weekly - up to 40% per change, and nothing gets the nitrates down, hence the red slime problem. Cemiclean has been able to get rid of the slime, but it does reapear after a month or so. The real issue is the nitrate level, but chemi-clean does get rid of the slime. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I had a red slime outbreak in my 24 gal aqua pod. I used this according to directions and WOW... in 48 hrs there was no trace of the red slime anywhere. I don`t know why everyone isnt using this, instead of buying red slime eating critters. Nothing short of a miracle product for me. I did the 20% water change afterwards. Then added Chemi-pure and my water perimeters are pristine. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This product has failed me more times than it has solved what it advertises it can do. I have tried it on 3 different tanks and no result on each of them. I am well versed what cynobacteria is, I also followed the directions to the very last water change and dose. Never will I buy this product again. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I thought I would give this a try to clear up a little red slime. Followed the directions which were to add one scoop per 10 gallons and turn off skimmer. Added air stone and wait 24 hours. I lost at least half of my fish, and many corals. I see dead shrimp, starfish, crabs, fish. Use other methods to clean up your cyano please. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have a 29g tank with star polyps, torch and mushroom corals, one yellow-tail blue damsel, several snails and a skunk cleaner shrimp. I followed directions exactly - turned skimmer off, dosed according to package and had a large airstone oxygenating water for 48 hour period, then did a large waterchange at exactly 48 hours after adding treatment. Within 24 hours my bad cyano bacteria problem had virtually disappeared. 95% of cyano is gone and no ill effects to any livestock whatsoever. I'm very impressed with this product. I advise finding the root cause FIRST (high nutrients) and fixing it before using this product to give you a jumpstart on your cyano battle. But it worked like a charm -- I've read on the net that a few people have had bad experiences with chemiclean, so use at your own risk but for me at least this product worked PERFECTLY with no ill effects at all a week after treatment. Just make sure you follow directions and get your nitrates to 0, change your old bulbs, and have decent flow for long-term success. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: After 46 hours now there is no sign of any red slime. Time to do the 20% water change in two more hours as directions say (48). Make sure you have water ready ahead of that time so your ready to go. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Less than 24 hours red slime was almost all gone and everything is still alive. One tini scoop per 10 gallons. Do a 20% water change after 48 hours. Add air bubbles to tank during treatment. It works! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
