Combination Bak-Pak Pre-skimmer and Bubble Trap in one unit.

The Bak-Pak Pre-skimmer fits around the powerhead and skims water from the surface of the aquarium where wastes accumulate. The Pre-skimmer makes the Bak-Pak even more efficient.

The Bubble Trap for the Bak-Pak 2 eliminates turbulence bubbles and micro-bubbles caused by chemicals in the tank.

In Arcata, located in Northern California, the sea is a way of life. From the advanced Marine Biology department at Humboldt State University, just up the hill from CPR’s headquarters, to Humboldt Bay, about a mile west, CPR is nestled in a perfect environment to develop equipment for marine aquariums. CPR was started in a small garage in 1987 to produce biological filters for local aquarists. People who used CPR filters were impressed by the high quality and affordable prices. Word spread and the company grew. Since then, CPR has expanded to a 10,000 sq. ft. production facility and has developed many innovative products over the years. CPR is incorporating new ideas and technologies all the time. Their goal is to allow aquarists to place the highest performing products in their tanks at reasonable prices.

Comments: I would buy this product again. No micro bubbles and no layer of protein on the surface of my water because it pulls the water in from the surface. Increased the performance of my bakpak.

Comments: I want to give this zero stars. This product does not fit well, and it does NOT reduce bubbles. I've been burned again by CPR Aquatics. I originally bought the Bak Pak years ago, and was always frustrated by the micro bubbles it produces. I tried the smaller bubble trap with no success, and like a fool I thought this may work. NOPE. Don't bother. Save your money, I wish I had. My Bak Pak will go right back into storage.

Comments: it works great. not too crazy about the sponges, though, but what are you gonna do! cleaned the surface quickly and it definitely cleans up the look of the tank.

Comments: I have had this box installed on my Bak-Pak skimmer for over 1 1/2 years and it works great. I have seahorses and wanted to reduce bubbles and current; this does the job.
