CPR

The value of a biological filter depends on how well it performs the tasks of oxygenation, ammonia conversion and gas exchange on a long term basis. In the wet/dry filter, air and water mix as water trickles over an exposed filter media such as Bio BaleTM. Biological filtration and gas exchange occur as the water flows in a thin layer over the media surface. (CR Series filters provide optimum growing conditions for bacteria which oxidize nitrite and toxic ammonia.) The rapid oxidation of ammonia and nitrite helps to maintain a stress free environment for aquatic life.

CPR filters are designed for long term reliability and ease of maintenance. These filters incorporate superior design features, such as:

  • Simple installation and operation.
  • Compact size to easily fit under your aquarium stand.
  • Excellent craftsmanship, all edges flame polished.
  • Efficient drip plate or drip lid dispersal.
  • Specially designed vented lids allow for proper gas exchange, and do not warp.
  • Separate sump unit (20 gal.) included.
CR3000:
  • Recommended Tank Size: Up to 400 Gallons
  • Media Capacity: 2 Cubic Feet
  • Dimensions (L x W x H): 27" x 13.5" x 18" (filter), 20" x 12.25" x 18" (sump)

Filter

I like it. a little too tall and the biobale too low it's in the water and the sump has a plate in the middle of it that is a pain.

easy and convenient

Good product maintenance is easy and convenient, only real issue I had was a slight leak in between sumps but it just required a little more tightening of bulkheads and problem solved!

CPR CR3000

I am very happy with this product. The wet/dry is well crafted with a large sump to hold other filtration devices. The unit has lots of water flow and performs water and air mix perfectly. The only thing i would like to see changed is the outlet hole from the sump.It is too small and restricts water flow to larger, high output pumps.

Nice filter

I use this filter on my 240 gallon freshwater tank. It works as advetised for my African cichlids. I tried using it on a tank full of big South American cichlids but they were too messy. They required a big time cannister filter to keep up with all their waste. That's probably not the fault of the filter as much as the wrong application.
