CaribSea

Flamingo Reef Sand: 1-2 mm diameter grain size. Coralline pink highlights make this substrate colourful as well as functional. Flamingo Reef gives maximum performance in plenum-type nitrate reducing beds, or simply a reef or fish tank bottom cover. Precision grading allows effective delivery of calcium, carbonate, and trace elements. Not bleach collected, no silica!

CaribSea Aragonite buffers to the highest pH and delivers more calcium, carbonate, and trace elements than any other substrate. Little or no rinsing required, aragonite keeps aquariums healthier, longer.

A
If the sand is rinsed out, it can be used in a freshwater aquarium. The aragonite will have a slight effect on pH.

“nice sand”
5.0

I like this product. Nice texture variation and color. The bag indicates it doesn't need to be rinse before putting in the tank. Don't believe it. The water became very murky even after a couple days. I had to siphon if off and do a partial water change.
