Comments: Had my 10g going up over 86 this summer, couldnt afford to keep AC on all the time, I was about to giveup on my nano tank. This product made it possible for me to keep my tank. Temp went down from 86+ to 80. Its really quite and works great on my tank. Ive placed mine in the filter, and it reduced extra mechenical parts placed within the tank.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: i looked at the reviews before i bought this and they were mixed. I have a 29L and it might drop the temp a degree if im lucky. Im hoping to fill the tank with Live Rock, and i hope it will work better when there is less water in the tank. I would not buy this unless your tank is 10 gallons or less. It just doesnt get that cold. Just buy a clip fan. My clip fan lowers the temp about 3 degrees, youll have to top off the tank a lot though.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Works better than you think by MATT MARTIN

Comments: I bought this product with low expectations, which may be partly why I'm giving it 5 stars. I have a 24 gallon aquapod that has 150watt metal halide with room temperatures reaching as much as 80 degrees. I've had no problem using a powerful fan blowing over the surface of the water and connected to a controller to keep the water temperature at 78.0 degrees. I bought this chiller because I wanted to have more cooling power for the summer, but didn't want to buy or install an expensive chiller. I have it set so that if the water temperature reaches 78.5 it turns on, then if the temperature reaches 78.9 the fan turns on too. Since I've had it, the fan has only turned on once for a few minutes. At that time the room temperature had reached 80 degrees. I don't think you can rely on this chiller by itself in hot weather, but if you have this chiller and a fan on a 25 gallon tank or less, I'm sure you could maintain the water temperature at 78 degrees even if the room temperature got to 85 degrees. While this chiller might not be able to power down the temperature the way an inline chiller would, I feel that it exactly offsets the heat from the metal halide. I give it 5 stars based on price, easy install, and because it makes no noise. NOTE: You must have this connected to a controller, otherwise it stays on all the time.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased this chiller because I didn't want to spend $300 for a small in-line chiller where I supplied the pump. When I read about it I wan't impressed. None the less, I purchased one. I just bought another for another application. It does a very good job at keeping 17 gallons at 63F with ambient temps at 75. 12 degrees, I'd like 15 but 12 will do nicely. If you have below 20 gal to cool! >>>>>>>>$100 +/- $10, this will do it.. I do not need the controller. Save $50!
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Don't waste your money on this stuff. Buy a real chiller instead. I have a 18 gallon nano with a CPR Hang On refugium. I have 2 of these Ice Probes connected to the refugium and the temp is never under 80 when the MH is on. The temp got up to 83 today on a hot summer day. I turned off these Ice Probes and the temp got up to 84. They're not worth the price and drilling holes in your tank, sump or refugium for a 1 degree drop. I have a HQI 150 over the tank, a 13W PC over the Refugium, a Seio powerhead and a small Rio feeding in to the CPR.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I got one of these on my 10 galon nano. Dropped my degree from 82 to 77. Small tanks tend to overheat during the summer so to chill it, get this one. It works!!!
