Comments: Works have had it running for over 5months no problems. Ballasts are quiet, barely here them. Did get a little too hot in summer but added a couple little fans from wali and it kept temp in the green with no chiller. Would recommend Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is one of my favorite parts of my aquarium gear. I replaced the stock 10,000Ks with 20,000Ks and made a huge difference(10ks are no good). I had to put the legs different from instruction's recommendations and it still hold in place. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Great Light, terrible Ballasts by DAVID SIEPEL

Comments: The light itself is very similar to the Aqualight Elite, which is also excellent, however the ballasts shiped with both units are ABSOLUTE Junk, they are chinese made, and i had both fail in less than 4 months (even on a battery backup to prevent surges). Coralife was great about shipping new ones, even overnighting me one when i asked (and i didnt even have to pay for the shipping). I had another marine company modifiy two Sunlight Supply ballasts to work with this light now and it's great. Very bright, well built. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased this light as an upgrade from a 150 Watt Current Model. I purchase the new light in the 250 Watt model. This light not only out performs the Current version, it looks much better while doing it. I completely recommend this light to anyone who has a a large and deep tank. You will not be disappointed. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I bought this light for my CPR 23 gallon mini reef tank to provide some more intense light, which the 150 watt metal halide certainly does. The thin fully enclosed design is a definite plus and pleasing to the eye. The wiring is also nicely done. For a Chinese-made product, the quality is fairly good, although my fan was a little noisy at the outset. Also, the legs are designed such that if your tank is a little too narrow in width, you have to put them on backwards to work. Based on the weight and heat emitted, the MH ballast is a conventional low efficiency type that is, however, enclosed in a very nice aluminum housing. A high efficiency electronic ballast would be an obvious upgrade. All things considered I am more than pleased and MD's sale price made this light a steal. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: After numerious problems with this light, I need to replace it entirely. Coralife customer service is as poor as the light. I see all the good things people say about it. Is it they were lucky or I was unlucky? Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have this light on a 72 gal bowfront. It does hang over a bit on the front of the tank. The only other prob i have with it is the location of the to halide lamps. the one on the left is located right over my overflow, which causes salt creep to build up about every 2 weeks. But its well worth it. My tank looks awesome and my lps love it. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: One word about this unit; it's as near to perfect as you can get. The fans are quiet and the light output is well distributed. What I like most about the unit is how well it is made inside. Comments: This light is great!! Makes corals and inverts very hapy. 10,000k HQI + actinc blue makes for a beuitifull blue spectrum. Not to white and not to blue. Never thought I would find a light that would sit right on my 42gl hex tank. But just invert the legs and wa-la, it fits right on top. Also just wanted to add that if you chose to make a trip out to lancaster pa to visit that fish place that pet place store, you would not be dissapointed. Unbelievable store huge doesnt even begin to descibe it. Helpfull friendly and honest people. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased this fixture to replace an Odyssea 36" hood(piece of junk). The Coralife Fixture is Great Quality and heavy duty. The only complaints i have about this fixture is that the PC lighting is only 2 65watt, rather then the 2 96Watt PCs like in the Odyssea hood. If you buy this fixture, buy the 150W 14000K Metal Halide Bulb - Phoenix, Double-Ended. And Also the Coralife PC 65watt 50/50. The bulb replacements fixed all my complaints and i am very pleased with the way my tank looks. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Times are changing. I have been a marine hobbyist for 27 years now, and things are changing. It used to be if you wanted state of the art lighting you had to buy from a speciality outfit or make your own lighting to get the maximum results. My world view was radically shifted with the purchase of this Coralife unit. Taking it out of the box I realized how well the unit is made. All the angles are finished and the light unit actually looks like a piece of modern art. I removed two old metal Halide/ actinic lights from my 180 gallon tank and instantly the difference was obvious. The coralife unit is bright ( three 250 MH) and light, which is well spaced over the 6 foot long unit, fills every corner of the tank now. A large anemone opened wider than I have ever seen it do before. The fish were a little freaked about the light intensity but quickly adjusted to the brightness. The whole tank looks new again. The best part is the 'dancing' light/effect on the coral and floor of the tank that really reminds me of diving on the reefs of the Pacific ocean- very cool. The moon light bulbs do a great job of mimicking night diving as well. The fish seem to recognize that light level, they settle in but I have seen some territorial/courting behavior among the fiji damsels under the moonlight bulbs. I am 100% happy with the unit and highly recommend it as an upgrade on any system that wants state of the art lighting. Well done coralife! Comments: bought this hood about 8 months ago, Great looking hood, BUT i would have liked to have been able to pick what spectrum of MH that would have came with it, the 10k is to white for me, and its a pain in the butt to add anything to my tank since i have to take the lights off to put rocks or anything large into my tank, they sell hanging brackets for this hood, that will have to be my next purchase, over all though my tank hasnt looked better and i love my lights! I would not recommend this product to my friends.
