Coralife Gloves
by
Clayton C.
Experience Level: Expert

Comments:
I normally don't write reviews, but these gloves are well worth the minimal expenditure. I have owned them about 6 months. I moved a 180G full reef tank to my house in 1 day. They were MORE than beneficial in protecting my hands throughout the entire move (200+ lbs rock, corals, etc). Worth absolutely every penny.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

I end up getting more water on the ground and on the sides of the tank using these gloves than without. They are bulky and expensive. Don't bother getting them.

Perfect Fresh or Saltwater
by
Adam
Experience Level: Expert
Posted on 6/9/2009 from California
Comments:
These gloves are perfect for moving live rock, wiping of a few algae spots on the glass, and anything else that previously resulted in chapped hands from the saltwater. I have one pair for my saltwater tank and another for my freshwater. These are sturdy, reliable, and fit any size hand. And they will last a lifetime! This is a great investment.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments:
These gloves seem to work very well. I have large arms and hands yet they still a little loose on me, so I don't imagine anyone will have issues with them fitting. I did notice however whatever powder was used inside the gloves seems to make my skin irritated. Normal powdered gloves do not do this so this is a first for me.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Sorry to say these gloves are probably too big and bulky for most women. They are for me! I wish I could have tried a pair on before I invested in them. I found some disposable shoulder length OB gloves at a farm store that work like a charm.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Decent arm protective gloves
by

Experience Level: Beginner
Posted on 3/30/2009 from HB, CA UNITED ST
Comments:
Quality gloves, but they are very thick and after several uses still have a strong rubber odor. Like the other reviewers have said, they're great for live rock and for stinging animals, but there is no feeling at the fingertips. I've dropped a few corals thinking I was squeezing them too hard, but it was quite the opposite. I would recommend them for rock work, but sometimes I prefer my aquarium tongs and turkey baster instead.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

They are great gloves, and do what they supposed to do. But, they REALLY SMELL BAD! I had to get them out of the house when not in use. They have a strong chemical smell associated with them. Don't think I am introducing anything bad into the tank.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

The gloves are probably great for moving around live rock. They are far too thick and unwieldy to do delicate work like moving around corals or gluing them down. I would recommend for moving live rock, but that's about it.

Great gloves

Comments:
Love these gloves. You can't do brain surgery with them but the description says they are really durable. They are fantastic for moving rocks and things of that nature. They do sell a lighter weight glove if you need to do tedious work. I never have to worry about rocks poking holes in these and they are super long so my hands and arms never come in contact with salt water that dries your skin out terribly. Also protects from fungal diseases as well.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

The orange part of the gloves are very thick, making it hard to do anything with these gloves that requires a good sense of touch or dexterity. They are useful for some things, but I would plan only being able to use these for a limited amount of work.

It would be nice to have different sizes available. I was wary about the strong chemical smell too. They do work well and keep the water out. Make sure to have a fan or a/c on because they make your arms sweat.

I realize these are one size fits all but I'm 5'7", 175lbs and they're too big. They work great for target feeding and moving live rock but they aren't snug enough to perform more meticulousness tasks, like slicing a frag off for your buddy. They do tighten once you submerge your arm in the tank, but it feels odd & clumsy. I mostly bought them for target feeding because the water was starting to dry out my hands so, for me, they accomplish their job. I also didn't like the idea of introducing cologne or lotion into my tank when I feed, so that's another reason why I decided to buy them. I just thought my experiences might help others determine if these are truly what they need.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

CONS 1. They smell of chemicals so bad, that I'm afraid to put them in my tank at all. 2. The material is really thick. There is so little sensitivity that it is difficult to pick up a frag disk. PROS 1. Yes, they do keep your hands dry.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

I bought a pair of these hoping they would provide a nice snug fit, however this wasn't the case. I am a petite 5'0 female and this gloves were bulky and oversized (at least for me they were)...I would say these were sized with "man hands" in mind. Despite being big and bulky in fit, they are heavy duty and easy to rinse... and I can see these lasting! They are a great idea and DO keep your hands dry...absolutely NO WATER GETS INTO THEM and the elastic at the top is comfortable and doesn't make you loose sensation to your arms and hands :o) I would recommend these to others despite the loose fit, because of the pros, such as keeping your hands dry ((especially if you are allergic to saltwater)), not having to worry about anything from your skin entering your tank ((such as soap, lotions, perfumes)), and reducing damage to fish>corals>Plants>Rock>Etc.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments:
These gloves are amazing! They are exactly what I was looking for, for my fiancé. Wish he would have had them BEFORE he got the infection but these are the thing to wear when cleaning out tanks to protect against these sort of things from happening. He is currently trying to get his work, Petsmart, to start carrying these for the employees to use while cleaning out the tanks to help protect them from all the bacterial infections within the water. Thanks so much for carrying an amazing product at a reasonable price. We are genuinely happy with this product. :D

I LOVE them!! I had a pair for years before they finally came apart (they are also great for washing cats with claws!!). So I was thrilled when I found them on your site (and at a great price). When I work in my reef tank for extended periods, I used to get a fungus around my cuticles. Rubber gloves with rubber bands around the wrist didn't help at all. But these are absolutely waterproof! They also help in moving large rocks because they don't slip out of my fingers and fall with these gloves.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

The concept of these gloves is great but I would recommend Coralife make them in varying hand sizes. I find the finger tips are too bulky and not snug enough to easily maneuver coral frags. It has tactile tips but the glove moves around slightly on your fingers preventing dexterous use. Great for protection and handling large objects or doing cleaning maintanace, but not for frag work.
I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments:
I got this glove since I want to move corals around and pick up frag disks that got knocked over by my snails and crabs without having my hands soak in the water. However, it doesn't wrap around your fingers and very difficult to pick things up. It's only good for picking up large items like liverocks. It did not meet my need. I would NOT recommend others to this glove since you will end up puting your hands inside your tank.
