Awesome Tank, Not Perfect

I had this tank for a little over a year and just replaced it with a slightly bigger one. For a beginner, it was a great tank, but it fell short in a few areas for me. The first, is the lighting. They run HOT. My tank would NOT go below 86 degrees until I ripped the whole lighting assembly out and replaced it with a $300 LED setup. Unfortunate because corals look awesome under the stock lights. The second is the back chambers. The second chamber has a shelf in it that limited my ability to put a small media reactor or the Biocube skimmer in it. The skimmer had to go in the first chamber, which eliminated the stock carbon filter so I had to buy media bags to put carbon and other media in. Eventually I purchased a mini max reactor and that didn't fit so well back there. Keeping the tank clean is difficult with the curved front glass - you can't scrape it so you have to clean it by hand with an abrasive pad, which takes forever when you're dealing with coralline. Or you have to contort yourself to hold the scraper sideways. With the way the back chambers are designed I found myself having lots of algae and even a vermetid snail outbreak before figuring out how to properly clean the tank. The good of the tank is that it's an all-in-one and a pretty decent setup out of the box. There are more Youtube videos on this tank than any other I've found so, for a beginner, the community is huge and easy to find. The whole assembly is clean and looks good. Most important for me: The top is too heavy for my cat to lift ;)

Coralife Biocube 14

I bought the Biocube 14 to replace a JBJ nanocube 12, Setting up was a snap. Quality is fantastic no leaks, fish seem to like this more. Filter system is good, fantastic flow. Lighting is strong and easy to operate. Overall love it.

Great in all respects!

I upgraded my Nano tank to the BioCube, and I'm thrilled. And everything MarineDepot did was flawless. UPS screwed up slightly, but in the end it worked out.

Great Nano Tank!

I love this nano tank. I got one about 8 months ago. It is easy to use and looks stylish. I find I can keep anything in this tank except for SPS corals. But, my LPS love it. Frogspawn has grown very well in my 29 gallon Bio Cube. The only thing that I didn't like was the 03 blue pc bulb. I switched it out for a 460nm blue which I feel shows off my corals a lot better. Overall though I am very happy with this tank.

Great Cube

Just getting started again. Been out of saltwater for a number of years. This BioCube 29 is built very good. Looking to add live rock and water this weekend. Hope it cycles with in a few weeks.

First one Leaked within a Year

Would give it more stars. Simplicity at its finest. However, this is my 2nd one. Within 14 months the first one leaked, really badly too. Very frustrated. Would have explored other options but the stand I have was made for this unit. Besides that pretty good but runs hot in the low 80's consistantly.

Really Awesome But!

This is a really great setup and it does work however in my opinion it really needs at least fans across the water, LED lighting, and the in tank rack system to be a good setup.

Great product at a great price

Overall tank quality was really good, builders got a little sloppy with the black silicon but it cleaned up pretty easily. Bio-balls went out as soon as I received the tank. Lights are bright and have a nice blue tint when the moonlights are on in conjunction with the main lights. The factory pump has pretty decent flow but I still recommend upgrading the pump to a maxi-jet 1200. The only complaint I had when first firing up the tank was how loud the stock fans are, easily fixed with a couple fans off of amazon.
