DAY-NIGHT TIMER The Power Center is a day-night dual timer device that provides complete 24-hour lighting cycles from dawn, noon, dusk and nighttime. WAVE-MAKER APPLICATION The Power Center can control two sets of water pumps using the alternating timer (total of four outlets) at 15 minute intervals (min.) or more to create a wave-maker application. The two sets of outlets will interchange between each other based on the timer setting. This wave-maker application creates a natural rhythm in your aquarium that replicates ocean tidal movements.

I don't know why others complain about this digital power cord. This is my 3rd one I bought and I've never had a problem with any of them. I did get some water on one and I let it dry out and it came back to full use. I would recommend this to anyone. Read the instructions correctly and you wont have any problems. It is confusing a bit but once you get it, it will come like second nature.its simpler then it looks. If needed I will order another one, I have no problem with them. I do wish they had a hook for hanging but you can rig one.excellent product.

I have this timer on my 60 gallon tank. after just 5 days of use timer crapped out. the daylight plugs do not work in the normal Auto function like there supposed to. the only way to turn on my lights is switching it manually.

I've bought two of these, thinking the first one was just a fluke, but no. Both have failed within a few months. Both of them mysteriously reversed the day and night timers and then died.
It's a great idea, and would be perfect if they held up, but sadly they don't.

It works great for my CF lighting system but I thought the 2 day lights would have seperate timers of themselves but don't when I got my 4 bulb T5HOs. Timer goes off when I need it to but must wait for its inital cycle, which can be missed if done at the right time. It works great but I plan on getting a seperate timer so I can get my lighting situation fixed. :) If used in the right environment it can be a great addition!

In paper and description looks awesome but when you actually use it it is crap. The outlets are far to close to each other. The digital timer is the worst part, it's on it's own schedule, I have needed to reset this too many times, it is unreliable. I have 2 so it's not like I received a bad one,the product is crap. DO NOT BUY.

I've used it for the last several weeks and it's working well. The only problem I had was the yellow outlets were off until the first on/off cycle completed, after that it has been working like a champ.

I have 3 manual timers that constantly fail. I bought this Zilla Digital and have not had a problem one. It is easy to set up and so far worry free.
I am about to write to Zilla with a suggestion of being able to select a separate time for each of the outlets instead of both on or both off.

The Zilla does exactly what it says it does (minus the reliability thing). 4 outlets are always on. Yellow (daytime) are on only when the Auto Timer or Mode is set to be "On". Blue (nighttime) are only on when the Auto Timer or Mode is set to "Off". And the master power switch cuts the power to all outlets. Apparently this is a tough concept for some; perhaps they should instead buy a "simpler device". This unit would not be so poorly rated if people would read and pay attention.
However, there is one common and serious flaw. I have 2 Zilla's, one works perfect and is rarely touched, the other I need to plug and unplug a pump for weekly maintenance. Sometimes (like several other reviews) the act of doing so wipes the clock and timer memory. On the same unit (while unattended) once every 2 to 4 weeks it wipes its timer memory and the clock gains 2 hours exactly. So the biggest issue is reliability not design (if you need more space for power adapters by the three-prong 8-inch extension cables from HomeDepot or Microcenter)

It's not as hard to set up as some people say, I didn't have any problems. It gives you alot of options, haveing the eight outlets. The only thing I would like to have different is to be able to adjust each of the day/night time outlets individually.

I have had 2 of these running my FOWLR system for 3 years with no problems at all. They work great, but I keep them as far away from my sump as possible to avoid salt getting into/onto them. I put 2 hooks on the roof of my sump area and hang one from each hook. This allows the timers to hang side by side, very easy to see and if you need to make an adjustment, just lift it off the hook!
Very user friendly with many programs to give you lots of timing options. I really like that you can turn everything on or off with the push of a button. Also has a random timer setting as well.
The only con is that the outlets are close together. I get around this by using a power strip from the timed outlets to allow use of more than one box type power supply. Battery backup, I have never had to re-enter the programs due to power failures.
