AquaPod

Step Up to the Pod

  • The Aquapod offers all-in-one elegance with a new standard of performance. The modern style compliments any dcor and features seamless front rounded glass corners for optimum viewing. The contrast of the black back will highlight the vibrant colors of fish, invertebrates and plants. Hidden under the sleek canopy you’ll find a sophisticated lighting system that screams with performance and efficiency – It features two Dual Color SunPaq compact fluorescent lamps, an internal electronic driving system and Nocturnal Blue Lunar Lights to complete the 24-hour lighting cycle. Combine all of this with our ultra-efficient surface skimming filter and it is quite simply a system proud to be called AquaPod.
  • The underwater perspective – The seamless rounded front corners provide a panoramic view of your aquatic creatures. The thick high quality glass is bent and seamed with unparalled precision while the reinforced tank frame provides optimum tank support. All this to provide the perfect viewing portal to your underwater garden.
  • Blistering lamp performance – The ultimate lighting spectrum is achieved by utilizing two Dual SunPaq lamps – which combined with the SunPaq driving system produces over 50% more lumen output then comparable systems. Using a proprietary blend of Nichia phosphors, the dual phosphor technology produces eye popping color rendering, while providing the necessary lumen output for high coral growth. Polished reflector pumps up the light output while a polycarbonate splash lens protects the lamps and ballasts from corrosion.
What’s Included:
Each AQUAPOD includes tank, surface skimming filtration system, SunPaq lamps, cooling fan, Nocturnal Blue Lunar Lights, mechanical sponge filter, submersible pump with flat nozzle and complete instructions. AQUAPODS are double boxed to reduce stress in shipping.

Good Value Nano

I am impressed overall. Solid value. One thing I noticed was the all in one features make this nano hard to clean.

GREAT FOR SALTWATER

GREAT TANK, EXCELLENT LIGHTING 4.5W/Gal, I HAD A REEF SETUP W/ SOFT AND LPS CORALS AND IT'S BEEN RUNNING FOR 7mos NOW, CORALS ARE GROWING LIKE WEED AND CORALINE ALGAE TOO. TEMP. IS A BIT HIGH 81F+ BUT I CONNECTED IT TO A 10g SUMP/REFUGIUM VIA OVERFLOW/U-TUBE AND IT STAYS AT 78-79F THIS SUMMER. THE MOONLIGHT L.E.D. REALLY STIMULATES SPAWNING. MY HERMITS AND CLEANER SHRIMP HAVE BEEN SPAWNING / RELEASING FRY INTO THE SYSTEM FOR COUNTLESS TIMES GIVING MY FISH & CORALS NATURAL FOOD.

Excellent! Reef Tank

I could probably go into a huge discussion on all the things right and wrong with this tank. However, a tank is what you make of it. I personally believe this tank has the most options available to it with ease of modification. Excellent product, Excellent design. There is nothing you can't do with this tank.

Totally inadequate

I haven't used the 24 G Aquapod for a saltwater tank, so I can't comment there, but for freshwater it is totally inadequate. The filtration system is totally inadequate, providing little space for media. Worst of all is that it's difficult to control the temperature in the tank. Even with the two exhaust fans, the tank runs about 82 or 83 degrees. It's impossible to lower the temperature and there is no way to add a chiller. You could remove the top entirely and substitute a different lighting fixture, but then why buy the Aquapod at all? Actually you'd be better off buying a less expensive glass tank and adding your own lighting and filtration systems.

Aquapod is better

I just bought the aquapod, and i think that its better than the nano cube because it has a better lighting system and better filtration.

good quality but occ. overheat

An esthetically pleasing, quality product but needs mod to avoid overheating in the summer. Replace fan with Stealth fan, remove ribs of outlet. May add 2nd fan with direct hole intake from tank

Beautiful aquarium!

Beautiful aquarium! Bought an AquaPod because Nanocube had glass-cracking issues. Also AP has better lighting (watts per gallons). Both AP and Nanocubes run too hot in summer. I use a chiller.

Great for Proprogating Corals

I have bought 6 of these and I love them. I plan on buying 8-10 more of these this year. These work great for me growing individual corals. I love to deal with the staff members here.
