Comments: A ballast went bad in my PC fixture. So instead of buying a whole new fixture I decided to investigate and see what the problem was. I figured it was a bad ballast and ordered one from MarineDepot. It shipped VERY FAST and was packaged very well. Im not a master of home electrical but I know alot of car electrical. So it was pretty straight forward on what color went to what wire from looking at the bad ballast (only had to connect 2 wires + and -. Installed and light up my PCs lit up like it should. A++ Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The only thing I was disappointed with is that both leads were the same length, the OEM had one lead longer so when mounting the ballast it was where the fixture manufacturer intended it to be, I had to modify the location to allow the leads to fit both lamps, placoing it where heat may may cause premature failure as only half of the ballast now has vent slots over it. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Who would have thought that a ballast could be found for my aquarium light, esp since the light can no longer be purchased. A $200 light repaired for $30. Repair was a little difficult. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have an odyssea PC/MH combo light fixture,had 2 of my 4 PC ballast go bad so I bought 2 of these and replaced all 4,had to do a little rewiring but it wasn't to bad. they work great Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The product did not come with the thermal wrap that the orignal ballast had and I had to remove an extra plastic mounting enclosure that was not compatible with my Dual Satellite lighting fixture. Also, the wires are a lot longer then the OEM ballast so you have to cram even more wires into the frame making it that much harder to reassemble the already tight fitting assembly. Bottom Line: It works and is a lot cheaper than replacing the entire light fixture. In terms of service from MarineDepot, it was a very simple and quick process to obtain a part that none of my local retailers had. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: It’s great that I can buy just the ballast instead of the entire enclosure for the cost savings is tremendous. Some basic wiring knowledge is needed though. The ballast seems to last about 3 years. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The wires are on the short side but it fit in my 48" 1024 current fixture perfectly. If it was the other ballast in there or a longer fixture I would have had to splice extra wire in (not a problem plenty of room in there) I have replaced these in other fixtures and its a nightmare (no room and tons of splicing) Current is much better. It screws in perfect in the fixture, if you have a current get it. By the way my ballast went out before my first set of lights did, but I like the fixture still. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased this ballast to replace one that had gone bad in my Orbit light fixture. Original lasted 4 years. This ballast installed relatively easily and has been working fine for a week now. The only negatives are that the picture shows a socket which was NOT included as well as that the leads on the new ballast were quite short (not long like the picture). I had to splice pieces of the old ballast wires for everything to reach without wire strain. It came with 4 wire caps to wire on the socket attached to your old ballast, but you will need two more wire caps to properly extend the 2 power leads. Overall I am very happy with this product. A replacement ballast was MUCH cheaper than a new light!! P.S. The label does not have Sunpaq on the one I received, but it was a perfect match in terms of rating and model # from my original CurrentUSA Orbit light. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I would suggest calling to verify the length of the leads on the ballast to ensure they will work in your configuration. I thought I was ordering the long leads, but I got the short leads. I had to modify my hood to make it work, but once modified it works fine. They really are fast at shipping too. No complaints to be honest. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have a 20" Orbit enclosure with 2x40W ballasts and needed to replace the one that was running the dual actinic PC lamp. This enclosure is on my all-glass 10 gallon nano-reef. Other than the fact that the wires weren't long enough on this new ballast, it seems to work great . . . so far. In order to compensate for shorter wires I had to move both ballasts a little closer to the fan, which wasn't too difficult. I have only had the product for a week, so the future is still up in the air. 4 out 5 stars because of the wire length. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have an odyssea 4 x 65w enclosure in which a ballast (2x65w) has blown out. The only place that sold a 2x65w ballast was marine depot. I decided to purchase it, not knowing anything about ballasts. When it arrived (in 1 day!) I figured out how to wire it in myself. Although the ends of this ballast is for a 4pin cube, I just cut those ends off and used the old ballasts connectors (4pin straight). Everything works great! Thank you! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The ballast I ordered was for my Orbit Satellite 48" dual actinic lighting system. The ballast works great, but is a challenge to install. The cable length was a concern having read other reviews, but the ballast could be adjusted across the length of the lighting fixture to even up cable length. My 75 gallon African Cichlid aquarium has never been brighter. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This product worked just fine for me, but as a few people mentioned, I had to steal some wiring from the ballast that failed to make it work. The wiring on the unit is not long enough as it comes. A flaw that should be fixed before this product should be sold in my opinion. I don't like buying things that don't come with what I need to fix my problem or work as designed. I will recommend this, but not to someone who's afraid to modify electrical equipment. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: After reading some of the reviews, I was rather hesitant about doing this myself. I received the ballast quickly (8 days). The design is excellent, definately more moisture proofed than my last setup. I had it up and running under an hour. I had to move it to a more "central" location so that my plugs would reach both ends. If I can do this, anyone can. Definately a good investment and my plants in my Aquarium thank you! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The ballast had shorter wires than those in the fixture. Since our hood has two ballasts if the end mounted ballast had given out I would have been very upset. These parts do not match what came in the hood as OEM parts. They must be centered away from the vents to make them reach each the end terminals. The wires should be 6 inches longer on each end Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I'm glad I found a replacement part so I did not have to replace to whole retro-fit kit. But, like everyone else said, the wires for the lights are too short. I was hoping to connect it to the cords I already have that I got with the SunPaq retro-fit kit, but this ballast is pre-wired and the colors of the wires don't match so I'm not sure what to splice together. Based on cost, it is better that no lights at all. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

I own a 5 FT lamp fixture and I was missing about a 1 1/2 foot of cable in order to be able to plug the lamp bulbs. I had to cut the cables from the old one and attach them to the new one. It works fine. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I purchased this ballast to replace one that failed in my Orbit 1025 fixture after less than 13 months (i.e. just after the warranty expired). While the ballast works fine, the cables are far too short for the 1025 fixture (probably 18" to 2' too short) and I had to splice some of the wire from the old ballast into the new to extend them. The cables MAY be long enough for the Orbit 1024, but I wouldn't reccomend this for the Orbit 1025 unless you want to spend the time extending the wires and ending up with a much messier installation than the original. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I'm extemely pleased with this replacement part and the fact that you guys offered it at a reasonable price. I was fearful that I was going to have to replace the entire light, but it turned out to be a faulty ballast, which was easily replaced at a fraction of the cost. I strongly recommend anyone having inadequate light issues check the voltage output of the ballast(s) before buying a new fixture. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The only problem is that one of the cords to the light is too short and will not reach the light connection we had to put the light in backwards so the connector would reach Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
