Comments: These "docking mounts" are ok. Nothing special. I have always wondered how all these aquarium lighting products have such mediocre mounts, legs, etc.. The cost of most of these lights are mind boggling and then they provide cheap plastic supports for them, at extra cost? Amazing that aluminum hinged mounts are not available but oh well i guess they'll do. nothing special.

Not durable

Comments: The mounting legs for the 48" outer orbit are made of plastic. They slide into a metal channel in the body of the light fixture. I slide the light back along the top rim of the tan to gain access to feed the fish a couple of time a day. After a few months of gentle sliding, the channel in the body of the light wears out the plastic and the leg(s) falls off. Thankfully, I keep some spare mounts around. Current-USA ought to fabricate an aluminum or stainles steel leg that would be durable. I may look into some alternative mounting option in the near future as the remainder of the fixture, light quality and quietness of the fans are all excellent.

Broke after a month

Comments: I love my Nova Extreme Pro T5 lights, but the docking mounts leave something to be desired! I had my lights for about a month when one of the legs just snapped and sent the fixture right into the reef tank. Marine Depot was fantastic and replaced the legs, but for a fixture as heavy as the NEP, I think the legs need to be a bit more heavy duty. They are pretty flimsy plastic and are definitely not built for what they need to do.

Comments: I feel the mounts are not made strong enough to support the hood when it has to be moved. It should be made of a stronger material. We haven't had the light hood for 3 months and the mount broke after sliding it back and forth carefully.

Comments: These are just like the ones that came with the unit. The good news is that means they are a perfect replacement and I only had to use one since only one had broken. The bad news is, I'm sure it'll break again since it's just the same. I also managed to break off a small piece of the frame installing the mount because the mounts and the plastic cover and all that can be such a pain to take off.
