Comments: Would have gotten 5 stars but one out of two bulbs failed within a week. Replacement was immediate and without cost. The colors of my fish really pop with these and the actinic+ combined. These are violet so if you are used to blue bulbs be aware these are not blue. Actinic+ is the blue bulb. Combine 2 aquablues(white), 2 actinic+(blue) and one of these(violet/black light) in front and it's a beautiful combo. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I just bought these to replace the stock bulbs that came with my nova extreme pro 48" T5 bulbs. WAY better color reproduction. my leather corals are now GLOWING and so is my duncans! It even makes my coraline algae bright purple! You definitely get what you pay for and the packaging they sent it in was SUPER. Not eye blinding blue, more sort of blue/violet. The yellow on my angels are popping and the blues are bright! Definitely buy these. you won't be disappointed. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I replaced my old bulbs with these after reading the reviews. All I can say is wow!!! I am very pleased about spending the extra cash to get these bulbs. These bulbs are a hit with the whole family and my corals. Once I turned on these lights, the whole family was fighting for a seat to see the colors of the corals, which I have had for years. These lights make my corals look new and alive!!! I will never go back to another bulb again. Thank you Giesemann for renewing my families love of our tank and corals. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I'm using Pure Actinics in combination with AquaBlue Plus and Actinic Plus to get a variety of color ranges. The colors of my corals pop with this combination. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This bulb is the closest thing you are going to come to UVL's classic VHO actinic--it's violet in color (NOT blue!!), and fluoresces colors (primarily greens) very, very well... If you are used to all the other cruddy T5 actinics out there (including UVL's, which is ironic considering they set the standard with their VHO bulb), which are TOO blue and TOO bright, you may not like this bulb at all--it's dim with low, low PAR, but that's not why you are using it--this bulb is for supplementation for those us that have never gotten over the POP and intense day-glow colors you can get with VHO 03 actinics. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I've used Giesemann bulbs before and have been very happy, these bulbs are great, but i prefered my prior set up- i'm running 2 150w 14k (phx) and 2 36 inch t5- prior i had used atinic and the tank had always looked great- i think these bulbs would perform best with more mixed t5 bulbs.... Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Swithced my PC flourescent actinics to a T5 setup and couldn't be happier. These lamps, although smaller and consuming half the wattage are actually BRIGHTER than my 55watt PCs were. The color is great, the deep purple that really makes the corals pop. I've got these lamps paired up with Phoenix 14.5K halides and am very pleased with the combo. Can't speak for long term quality as I've only had them a few weeks. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: my tank looks radical under these bulbs, i have a 6 bulb panel using 1 midday, 1 true blue, 2 pure actinics, and 2 actinic+ and im seriously in love. some zoanthids colors popped instantly even, others within a couple days. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I just replaced one of my bulbs with this Atinic bulb and my corals and my coralined algea live rock are popping with colors. I dont think this bulb is for growth but for eye candy, nothing is better. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
