The PF509 is the starting model of a new fourth generation of Deltec Fluidised Calcium Reactors which now comes with a full bayonet fitting on the top for full and easy access to the media.
This may be the baby of the family but with its fluidising action it is capable of providing the required calcium levels on tanks up to 100 UK gallons - 450 litres - 119 US gallons.

The reactor comes complete with 2 kg of Rowalith C+ media and if you add this to one of the D-D saltwater Co2 sets then you will have everything that you need to plug and play.

Comments: At first I questioned myself about buying a $1000+ phosphate/carbon reactor but not anymore. The ease at which the media can be put in and taken out is amazing. The quality of the unit itself is amazing. The size is perfect because the footprint is really small. A-...the minus is the cost, but other than that nice work.

Good design w/ Poor pump by Deltec User

Comments: Reactor design and build are excellent like all Deltec Equipment. Reactor is easy to use with very high dKh values. Aquabee pump with my unit lasted for 4 months. 2nd aquabee went for 5 months before developing a noise due to wear on the impellor bushings. Converted the reactor to an Eheim pump. Aquebee pumps are hard to come by in the US (Cannot be purchased at Marine Depot) and all Deltec equipment uses metric PVC fittings so coverting to a different pump is not easy.
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
