Wouldn`t it be cool if the Radion communicated wirelessly with other Radion units. Well, it does – through EcoSMART Live. Lighting control is now in the cloud.

Thanks to the controller`s web interface (compatible with Mac and Windows), Radion owners can enjoy EcoSMART`s cutting-edge controls and user-friendly design on a computer or tablet with an internet connection. New features are implemented automatically, with no work for the user.

Note: A Radion must be connected via USB to a computer running the Connection Manager in order to control your lights from the web.

Batter Back-Up

Blizzard. Hurricane. A motorist hits a utility pole. Stuff happens. The power goes out… the Radion is fully compatible with the EcoTech Battery Backup.

In the event of a power outage, lack of light energy over the aquarium results in corals switching from photosynthesis (producing oxygen) to respiration (consuming oxygen). When used with a Battery Backup accessory, the Radion emits low levels of light intended to prevent corals from respiring, and therefore; your Radion will help to maintain an oxygen-rich environment for your fish during this critical time period.

Comments: I had the 1st generation and last week I purchased the pros. What a difference. Great product. Tried some of the competitors lighting but nothing compares to this product. New software ecosmartlive also is a great improvement from the previous one. Wireless synchronization with EcoTech lights and pumps excelent. Battery backup also does a great job. All corals and fish are extremely happy.

Comments: I now have two of the pros and 1 gen 2 over my 150 sps tank. Replaced metal halides so enjoying the reduced heat and controllability . So far very happy too early to tell about growth but colors look great. Minot sure if they are worth $900 so only gave them 4 stars, cannot tell much difference between these and the $650 gen2 model. Overall very happy , I would recommend anyone looking to get out of halides and make the switch to led.

Comments: I love these lights and the options they afford. For the quality of this product and the performance they deliver, I think they're priced perfectly. My corals and fish love the custom programming, and the spectrum they're capable of producing. Every aspect of the light cycle is customizable, and work seamlessly together; if more than one unit is utilized. I have 4 over my tank, and I couldn't be happier with this product. If you have reservations, pull the trigger you won't regret it.

Comments: It was hard to pull the trigger on this purchase, but I can now say I'm glad I did. I had 160 watts of CFL and was facing the annual bulb replacement. I had initially intended to get the razor but it was out of stock and while I was waiting, I researched the XR30 pro extensively. The demo, t-storm, and cloud cover modes are neat but useless. The 6 channel control, quality of the light (knowing it won't degrade),, size of the unit (basically the same size as my IPad!), power and heat savings are absolutely worth the price. My zoas pop with colors I didn't see w/ CFL and in just 4 days they aren't "reaching" for light anymore. My SPS are more thoroughly opening too. Time will tell if growth improves, I'll follow up with another post once I can tell if there's a difference. Additional perks- the top of my tank is now open/uncluttered/accessible, only 1 cord going up. Would have gone 5 stars but no printed manual (always toggle "inherit group settings" when using the downloadable configurator) and the transformer gets pretty warm so mount it outside your enclosed stand. Get the hanging kit too! The Ecotech vortech pumps are awesome too!
