The 3581 "Feed-Air" Digital Auto Feeder lives up to the Eheim name. Every feature possible is contained in this attractive container. The electronically controlled programming allows up to 4 daily feeding cycles of flake food in either single or double serving sizes. The large, easily read LCD display/clock also shows the programmed feeding times. Food level monitoring is easy performed through the clear food container. The integrated ventilator prevents moisture from spoiling food or clogging the unit, so maintenance is almost non-existent. This unique feeder uses every last flake in the bin to prevent waste. Replace the battery every 6 months or so and this auto feeder will keep you and your tank critters happy for a long, long time.

Love it! Have it set for four feeds a day with formula two flakes (broken down) and the Achilles tang and Powder Blue tang no longer fight! Most tang fights are over food even if they have the same body type. Tangs have small stomachs so they need to be fed four times a day ideally. If you do that they get along, unless they have territorial disputes, but those aren't common. Glad I made the investment so I could keep similar tangs.

Have had the feeder going for about a week now and everything seems to work as it should. The food is staying dry and found out real quick that anything other than the smallest opening for feeding is too much if you feed small granular type food. I mixed granular food and some small flakes (manually crushed to smaller size) and used the 2nd smallest opening to feed and it was too much food dispensed....looked like it was snowing in my tank. I cut back to the smallest opening size and things have gone great so far. I only feed once a day on my 90 gallon tank with about 15 fish and corals. I do supplement live brine and sometimes frozen food every other day and everyone seems to be happy in the tank. I will be going on a 10 vacation and I pray that this feeder works while I'm gone. I will have someone check on my tank a few times while I'm gone, but I expect things to work well. I'm very happy and content with this feeder and would recommend it to anyone. Easy to set up the timer and the feeding times. The most impressive thing besides being well built is how dry the food stays. I don't plan to use it long term, just while I'm gone, but it is great to have.

Frendley user type feeder,
Accurate timer,
Took many trials to adjust the slider on the feed drum for proper quantity of food, but finaly got it right.I think that the volume of food in the feed drum has something to do with the amount comming out at each rotation. The more in the drum the more come out regardless of the slider adjustment,
The slider I think should be more stiffer,
Nevertheless I would rate this feeder 9/10
Good buy for the price paid.

Fish are much happier now that i feed them EVERY DAY! No more forgetting and my tank can stay on auto pilot when i leave town for a few days. Will not go without these now. I use pellts and have these feeders mounted in hood about 12 inch off water so pellets drop right in and dont float.
