300 watt

Great heater. Only thing to keep in mind is the length "20 inches" if you want to stand it vertical in your tank. Easy to set and holds temp. Good value.

Eheim Jager Heater

So far this heater has performed perfectly. No issues with it sticking and staying on ( which my last heater was doing bringing the temperature into the mid to high 80's ). I would recommend this heater as the price is right also. Marine Depot always delivers with fast shipping, and reasonable prices.

Great heater but big

These have got to be the largest heaters ever made. Bought two and then was disappointed that I couldn't use them because there isn't an area of my sump where the water level is high enough to cover the min water level mark. I know use them in a brute trash can to heat my water during water changes. They do what they're supposed to but had to take one start off for the unnecessarily large size.

Reliable, precise, durable

I've got three of these now, one in continuous use in a nano reef tank for 4 years, one a more recent tank install, and one for warming fresh saltwater to tank temperature. They've been super stable, reliable, and the best heaters by far I've ever used, in many years of fish-keeping. Calibration so that the dial on the top reads correctly takes some fussing, but I just set the temperature against a reliable digital thermometer and go with that, ignoring reading on the dial on the top. That ring dial has nice small and fairly even increments for temperature adjustment--you can dial in easily within half a degree F. Cord is heavy duty, and long enough to reach from the top of largish tank to the bottom shelf of a typical aquarium stand. The glass is strong and unlike other glass tube heaters I've used, these can withstand a few knocks. I use mine fully immersed or 95 percent immersed, and no evidence of moisture or salt creep inside the units.

Two duds in one order

I wanted to like these heaters. I really did. They come highly recommended and I just needed something to hook up to the Apex. The problem? I couldn't get them to work correctly out of the box, even before hooking them up. One unit was so far out of calibration that it was impossible to set it correctly by recalibrating. The first time I plugged it in and set it to 78 degrees it ended up heating the 5 gallon bucket I was using for calibration to 90 degrees. Well outside the range that can be fixed by adjusting the red arrow. The second heated to the proper temperature. The only problem is that it would heat the bucket to the proper temperature, turn off, and never come back to life after. A bit of a problem if you want your aquarium to stay at a steady temperature rather than heating up once and turning to an ice cube forevermore. I contacted their customer support and am still waiting on a response days later, so I'm doing a return. I've since purchased a titanium heater that was cheaper and worked right out of the box without worrying about calibration. Everyone swears by these so there might be something to them, but I won't be purchasing these heaters again. Two duds in a row even after trying for several days to get them to calibrate correctly has me wary of the whole brand.

Great

Filled my tank in the evening out of the outside faucet, with the weather at 35 degrees... by the next morning this heater had the water to 75 degrees and has worked spot on since. I believe this is a great heater.

Eheim JaJager tru-temp heater

When I first opened the box the quality of the heater was apparent. It was well packed ready to go. The temperature settings were easily read and the heater was easily installed in the tank secured by the twu suction cups. I have not had to do anything with the heater since installation which says alot about the product qquality. I would definately recommend this heater to my friends

Heater

This is perhaps 6 or 7th Eheim Heater I have used. Needed higher wattage than ones I have so the purchase. It generally tends to be bit more pricey, but very reliable and good product. Tried others but did not work as well.

Eheim Jager TruTemp Fully Sub

Heater is solid.. I can see some people being confused about calibration.. i see lots of threads on it.. i knock a star for the instructions not telling the consumer how to revert back to factory setting calibration... i had to email them for how to set to factory settings. once calibrated, this thing is running great.. no complaints. From Ehiem: To reset the heater to factory setting, ensure that the red arrow is pointing at 79 Degrees and the back red pin is aligned with both the power cord and the blue/white pin. they sent pix as well.. cannot link here.
