Great heaters

Comments: This is my second of these heaters, I have a 50w and now this 75w. I'm very pleased with both of them. It holds a steady temp (+/- 1) and has been reliable thus far. The ability to re-calibrate the heater (while confusing at first if you neglect to read the instructions like I did) is a nice feature and an uncommon one. Another nice feature is the run dry protection, the heater automatically shuts off when it's out of water. I tested this feature as soon as I received the unit because I have a nasty habit of doing water changes and forgetting to unplug my equipment and the feature works as advertised. I gave this heater 4.5 out of 5 starts simply due to the length of the heater, they really need to work on making these things more compact.

Comments: Bought this heater as a back-up to another Eheim Jäger 300w heater. Although I doubt I will ever need to use it. These heaters are very durable, and extremely accurate. Will never use a different brand again

Comments: stays at a constant 80f even when the weather is about 60f indoors, which other heaters ive had drop to 76f. made well and has a very accurate thermostat i'm really pleased with this heater.

Comments: Yes it comes with an adjustable calibration dial. This is a great idea. However, when you have 8 degrees of play in the dial to set the temp, that just doesn't matter. For instance, I wanted my tank at 86 to get rid of ich. I set it there and the temp went to 87. I tried to lower the dial until the heater light went off and I had to take it down to 78. Dial is hard to turn while in the tank as well. Not much for the other hand to grab onto for leverage. If however you just need a heater to put yourself in a temperature range and not have a exact temp, then this will do the job. For a tad more you might could find a digital one.
