Great

Very Good but Not Perfect by Hamster Fan

Comments: I have a 300 gallon fresh water. My goals are near 1000 gph,lowest noise as the tank is right next to dinning table, and low heat transfer to water. I tried Poseiden (4 yrs), Little Giant (1 week), and now Eheim (2 weeks). Little Giant is way too noisy. Poseiden is exceptional in low noise but adds 2+ degrees to my tank and with two pumps, in summer time, it's too hot. Eheim is also VERY low in general noise BUT it has a low frequency vibration humming noise that is hard to contain. So no pump that is entirely good for me yet unless if i can sound proof and damp out eheim's vibration. I will be trying rubber damping pads and noise reduction foam in the enclosure. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The pump is doing ok. It was running almost completely silent for a couple of days, but now there's a little bit of noise from it - it's tolerable though. Not sure it's quite meeting the advertised gph rating. All in all, it's ok. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Pump works well, but why do they supply suction cups to the lower end models and not these higher end ones? Doesn't make any sense, and now I have to find a way to reduce the vibration which is a pain. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have an Eheim 1262 900GPH model, and just like the famous Eheim Professional Series canister filters, the performance is excellent. The flow rate is just as rated, the reliability, start-up, and fitting options are very nice. Aside from the handsome high quality ABS plastic case, the best part of this pump is it is virtually silent and vibration is very minimal for this class of pump. Yes, its very expensive, but I feel the cost is very justifiable, especially in applications where you want a silent pump to not disturb your quiet day in a room. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have owned several Eheim pumps over the years and I have always been more than satisfied with their performance. They always perform equal to or better than their rated gph. Money was tight several years ago and I skimped on a couple of pumps. Well, one faied after 6 years and I just replaced it with this Eheim. The last Eheim that failed on me was 34 years old and had run continuously ALL those years. I expect the same from this pump. Yes, you pay almost double for these pumps but if you do the math, they are the best money can buy and are the cheapest to own as the years roll by. They also make the investment in livestock all that more secure with their reliability and performance. Don't waste your money on anything else. Just suck it up and buy an Eheim. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: When I first turned it on, it was noisy. But it just didn't like air. In the water it was smooth as silk. It is performing nicely so far. I expect it to last a long time. I'm thankful for the extra adapter since I had a larger than half inch hose. At this point I would recommend it highly. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I just received and installed my second 1262 for my reef aquarium and must say that it is absolutely the quietest pump available for the amount of water being pushed. I have used Eheim products for about 25 years now and believe that you can't go wrong any of the Eheim products from canister filters to powerheads to "hobby" pumps. They last forever. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Using the 1250 as a return from my sump/fuge. I have it sitting on a sponge pad, and its absolutely silent. Flows roughly 130 gph @ 3' of head through 1/2" flexible vinyl tubing w/ a slip fitting at the pump discharge and one 90deg slip/FPT elbow at the display. You may want to consider hard piping this one if you're looking for more flow. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I needed extra flow in my 55G planted tank. This pump does the job nearly silently! And as an added benefit I was able to remove my old Co2 reactor from in the tank and put a new inline reactor onto the pumps input side. What Co2 the reactor misses, the impeller of the pump breaks up nearly 100%. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I used this pump with a Current 1/15 micro chiller, and it fit the bill perfectly. I'm using it as an external pump, and it not only moves a lot of water, but it's also very quiet. No complaints from the wife, or the fish. :) And that makes me happy. The only issue I ran in to was that I had to shave down the rim of the 3/4in hose to get it to thread on the intake of the pump. No biggie, but just a heads up. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Excellent product! Almost silent and has great head pressure. This model works perfectly with the Deltec APF600 skimmer. I've used three other pumps and they all began to fail under pressure from the skimmer. Easy to clean and no heat transfer. Don't waste your time or money and buy Ehiem! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Eheim is the BMW of the marine aquarium world: solid engineering, premium performance, and impeccable quality. I have used Eheim since I was a boy living in Berlin, and have never been disappointed by them, ever. I operated one Eheim filter for at least a decade before it fried in a lightning strike. If you need any more convincing, do know that this firm also makes pumps used for kidney dialysis. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Upgraded to this pump when I went from a 55 to a 90G. Very happy with it - quieter than my old pump, even though it's much more powerful. Comments: I'm very impressed with the quality of the unit, although it's important to know the sizes of the input/output fittings if you're looking to plumb this into your calc reactor. Inlet is 3/8" NPT and outlet is 1/4" NPT. I found the necessary fittings at www.mcmaster.com. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I just put this thing in my sump,don't know how much heat it adds yet,but it moves a lot of water and you can't hear it running.I'm gonna build a bigger sump and drill it for a bulk head than I'll try this thing inline,but submerged works fine for now. I replaced A Quiet One 3000 with this pump,it puts Quiet One to shame.Quiet One has restart issues and is a bit noisy. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Got this as a replacement for Mag 2 on my sump return. Was hoping to reduce noise at about the same or slightly more flow. In reality, was disappointed to see that the outlet hose nipple is much smaller than on the Mag 2. While it's running, it is a little quieter than the Mag, but not a whole lot, and the flow is indeed lower. I run it submerged. This is my second Eheim, and I have three Mags. Overall I would say either the flow rate on the Eheims is overrated or the mags underrated, becaue there is such a huge difference between them. Mag 3 would blow this thing out of the water. So if noise reduction is your primary goal, go for it; otherwise, save your money. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I was so pleased with my first Eheim purchase, my 1262 return, that it was a no brainer on what to use to run my calcium reactor. I have 3 Eheims now, the 1262,1250,and 1046, and all 3 are dead silent. I have to feel them to make sure they're running! Very easy to maintain. Cool operating temp as well. From here on, if I need a pump,it will be an Eheim. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This is one of the best pumps I have ever used. It is silent and very energy efficient. Just make sure that you always haver water running through it or it will burn out. I am very impressed with this pump. I use the 1048 pump on both my Ca+ Reactor and Biodenitrator. I would highly recommend this pump to anyone. The only downside that I can think of is the price. You pay a lot for this pump but you get a lot in return (assuming you do the proper maintenance on every 6-12 months). Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This pump was a bit more expensive than the others I was looking at, but I decided to try it after reading the reviews. I am glad I did! This guy runs virtually silent. I have to touch it every few days to assure myself it is running. Since I have it hooked up to a chiller on a "closed loop" the lack of self priming doesn't bother me. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I use the Eheim pump as an internal (in sump tank) pump running two Phosban Reactors and one external pump to run a denitrator. Both pumps run quietly and are extremely efficient. In this hobby you get what you pay for and pinching pennies will cost you in the long run. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Low heat and quiet, I'm using this to push 2 Ocean Clear cannisters and it works like a champ. I've never understood why Eheim just doesn't use barbs instead of the thread connectors. I heat the tubing before connecting the first time, it helps. This does not take away from an outstanding pump. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I was looking for a new return pump for my 120g Reef system and there were a few characteristics that were necessary for my setup: * Must be in-sump * Must be quiet * Must have very little heat output * Must be dependable * Must have good flow So I picked up this Eheim 1260 and all I can say is Ill never choose another in-sump return pump. It fulfilled all of my necessary requirements for my return and at a reasonable price. At 5' head the output is still very good. I highly recommend this pump for in-sump applications. If you are looking for an external pump this would suffice but there are other options out there such as Sequence Reeflo. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I tried various other brands in the same catagory. Nothing compares to how quiet this pump is. Very tranquil and only a very slight hum washed out by the Remora with the 1200 pump. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Super Quiet by Tang Police

Average

Cool/Quite but lost flow by Steve

Comments: The pump is cool and doesn't add very much heat to the water in an external setup. It is also pretty quite. I have noticed that it has already lost some of its flow just after about 3 months of use. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Excelent little pump by Nestor Velez

Comments: Im using this pump with my calcium reactor now for 8 months and no problems whatsoever runs very cool no noise and always starts up right away after maintenence great little pump worth every penny. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: This pump is more quiet than the Mag's but its a bit more expensive, it has a 3 year guerentee, but marine depot dont list that it has it, but the box says so. But it works awsome. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The pump is about the size and wieght you would expect for 900 gph. It is very quiet with no mounting at all in the sump. No "mouse pad silencer". Slick looking pump and only 80 watts. No mag drive4me Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.
