OsmoController Digital
The entirely new OSMOCONTROLLER Digital uses a patent pending sensor with no moving parts as the first measure of the water level in the SUMP. Most other systems will use multiple float switches or sensors to act as back up to the initial float switch, elos does not. We believe the float switch or sensor will always be the weak link as it is usually a moving part and/or in direct contact with the water, most of the time. To provide an adequate fail-safe the OSMOCONTROLLER Digital uses a small microprocessor in combination with our patent pending sensor to control the pump and monitor the top off of your system. In the event of a fault such as an empty reservoir, a damaged pump or kinked tube, the microprocessor will recognize this and a red alarm LED will indicate the problem and stop pumping until the problem is fixed and the controller can be reset. The OSMOCONTROLLER Digital also has a manual top off button that can be used to use the system as a pump for occasional water changes and to fill a container with RO/DI water easily.
The set up of the OSMOCONTROLLER Digital is very simple. It works with most sumps without the need for programming and with our sensor design has a built in buffer for waves and small changes in the sump that will normally cause a top off system to unnecessarily top off, which will shorten the useable life of the top off pump.

Well everyone I bought the ELOS, it was pretty straight forward and came with everything EXCEPT the hose. Not a big deal, but for the price I believe they should go ahead and include everything. Other than that this is a nice system, my very first top off system to be exact. Thanks

This is a great ATO. I am using it on all of my tanks. It is very simple, and perfect if you are tight on space. I have used the Tunze ATO for years. In my experience, they both work great, but the Elos one uses so much less space in your sump. The only problem I have ever had is that one controller arrived with a European power adapter. I e-mailed Jesse at Elos, and he put an adapter in FedEx for overnight delivery within an hour of e-mailing him. You cannot beat that for customer service.

I bought two of these about a year ago for a couple of tank services I have. In the begining they both worked fine, but then I noticed one of the pumps was secreting a brown substance in the water. truned out that it was rust, the impeller to the pump had completly coroded and stop working, now its a $200 dollor piece of trash. Still no problem with the other one I'll keep my fingers crossed. I will say that for a pumps impeller to break down like that in RO water. First time for everthng I guess. I will not be recomending this product to my clients.

I thought I would comment on this system for those that are looking at an ato. Because of the MH lights and fans I was adding a lot of water daily to my tanks so I bought one of these for my 75. It is made different than any other one I've seen and only has one small sensor that is zip tied to a bracket and a small pump that fits nicely in a container. The unit itself is small and simple. The problem I had is that the bracket is made for a sump and I don't have one. Wanting to see how it worked I put it on my biocube 30..it also would not fit on the outer rim but did find a place in the back chamber. I put a L shaped piece on the outtake tube just above the water so that it couldn't be pulled off the back. It didn't come with tube or any connections for this also. It has been running great! I'm so pleased that it is doing the work for me with no ugly switches that I ordered another one for my 75. I think I'll attach the probe by zip tie to my protein skimmer tube.
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Price, no backup but it is computer smart!

WOW!! I set this unit up; it cycled in five minutes and started working. I have never heard it run or seen it top off but my sump level and salinity stay perfect. If this unit keeps working I will always own one as long as they make them. I would highly recommend this to a friend. Love it!

If ever there was a perfect ATO, this is it. Sets up in minutes and works flawlessly keeping my level within millimeters. The pump can easily move water up 3 ft. of head and probably more if needed. Very safe.
