Comments: This was my first cone and first skimmer I bought new. It comes basically preassembled and disassembly is very easy. Pump starts every time from the testing I did. Great amount of air/water mixture and very easy to adjust with the way it is setup. I also like that the inlet of the pump requires basically no clearance. While the skimmer is great, its documentation is not readily available. I've found that while setting the skimmer when it is turned on to set the line where the bubbles break at the base of the skimmer neck inside the skimmer. Also the other thing I found odd is the way the air silencer is setup to pull air in from the bottom instead of the top so essentially it will clog faster and easier while its sucking in salt spray and etc. Overall I love the skimmer, its quiet and well designed. After getting it tuned in I've been pulling out some really disgusting skim mate.

Comments: This is my first cone skimmer and I don't think I could be any more pleased with it. The build quality appears to be very good and the design is very simple. unpack it, place it in about 8 inches of water, plug it in and adjust the water height in the skimmer with a simple turn of a dial and you are in business. It is very quiet and skims stuff almost right away. So far it has been very stable even when new. For the money I would definitely buy this again. A+
