I gave this product a 4 1/2 not because of the quality of the construction or the quality of the lights themselves. In those categories they deserve a solid 5. Simply awesome! I bought two of the A1P's. One for a fish only tank and one for a reef setup. I researched a lot of fixtures, read hundreds of reviews, went back to Marine Depot, and saw Euroquatics. What I liked, was there was nothing else you had to purchase to have complete programming features. They are pricey but worth every penny. And actually compared to others, and all the extra's you have to get to do what this system does, it's not that bad. I know this is going to lengthy, but READ VERY CAREFULLY! I spent 2 days trying to get these connected to my network! I followed the instructions to a tee. None of it made any sense, and none of it worked. Forget about downloading the Discovery from their web site. Don't try getting a phone app that only works if you have a apple/mac product. Won't work on any smart phone. The only purpose of these is find out what the IP address is. What they don't tell you is the program or software that controls the lights resides in the unit itself! Simply genius! You are not going to install anything on your hard dive that going to make this work. Simply press the WPS button on your router, then press and hold the button on your A1 for about 4 sec and wait for the led inside the unit to blink 5 times in a slower motion. If it blinks real fast, it failed to connect. Try again. Once connected, go to your computer and open up your network screen. Locate your router icon and right click on it and you should have a selection to access your router settings. Open up devices, this will give you a list of all the devices connected to your router. The A1's will be listed under Euronet. Remember of write down the IP address your router has assigned to it. Close out of that, and open up your web browser and simply type in that IP address, hit enter and glory be your in! Sometimes the program stalls or comes up out of wack, just hit refresh. Once I realized what was going on, I had everything connected and was programming within 10 min. You can do the same thing with you phone too. This is the only reason I did not give it a 5 star. Buy this product!

Ok let me start of by saying I took a chance on this light seeing there was no reviews on it but searched some stuff on line and said ok if I don't like it I can return it. First off you have to control this light from your phone with an app it has a good set of pre-programed light cycles but if you want the good stuff you have to connect it to your home network via your router which is fairly easy to do if your router is WPS capable. That being said I didn't write a review sooner cause my router didn't have a WPS button so I got a router that did and WOW!!! I bought the A1P. The web base interface is unreal you have full control of all 7 channel from 0-100 intensity 00:00-23:59 in minute increments and storm mode which by the way scared the hell out of me the first time it happened can also be turn on or off really this light is absolutely AMAZING don't be afraid worth every penny. Lights up my 55gal softie tank no problem but I could see a tank longer than 4ft needing 2 fixtures. If you need 2 which I didn't. The A1P has 7 channel control the A1 only has 5 channel control no control of the red and green. If you wanted to save some money according to the user guide if you link an A1P and a A1 the A1P will be able to control the red and green channel of the A1. Once again I would recommend this light fixture to everyone I know IT'S AMAZING!!!!!!
