My Milwaukee PH Monitor seem to not be working properly. Tried calibrating with two new probes and could not get it to work. Do you have a brand you would suggest? My Milwaukee did well for about four years, I just thought if you get new probes a piece of hardware like that should last a long time.
Thanks for any comments

| through the years this brand has made more and more...er, "affordable" units. I do't have an especially high regard for them frankly. Nor do I care much for the hobby popular American Marine models (a few good values... but most I do not care for). One brand that has stood the test of time for me and others is Aquadyne (they make controllers like the Octopus 4000). My unit is now nearly ten years old and like new. The customer service (annual cleanings, software updates, etc) from the company is superb year after year. It is a classic example of getting what you pay for. IMO Aquadyne is an incredible long term value and worth the investment in your (expensive... libves and money spent) reef display(s).

I have the Aqua controller 2 made by Neptune Systems for about 4 years now and I think I’m on my second set of probes (don’t let them dry out). The unit has worked quit well and has a lot of pretty cool features other than just monitoring the PH.

I have never used the Neptune brand but have heard very good praise through the years on them.
