FAQ

1) Is Flipping difficult?
Flipping is Easy once you know how, but it does require you to follow the instructions.
Flip in areas with low water currents and near the top of the tank where you have room to flip away from your rocks.

2) What is the maximum tank thickness Flipper can be used on?
Flipper can be used on glass or acrylic tanks up to 12mm (1/2") thickness.

3) Will the metal blades rust and how long do they last?
Metal blades are made with 316 stainless steel which is highly corrosion resistent. You can leave the Flipper in your tank and the blade should last for months depending on your use.

4) Does Flipper work on bowfront tanks?
Yes!

5) Is Flipper the same as a Mag-Flip?
No. Mag-Flip was made by another company using FL!PPER's patent license.
Many months were spent perfecting the FL!PPER with stronger magnets, stainless steel blade and a more efficient scrubbing pad.

Love it

I have an acrylic tank and had a hard time scraping off coralline algae with plastic scrapers. The flipper makes it easier to dig it off and I can get it all off without having to stick my arm in the tank to use a nice narrow blade scraper I have. I'm buying a second one for my other tank (one tank is contaminated with glass anemones ??- I kill them weekly and can live with it, but sure don't want to spread them!).

AWESOME product!!!

This is by far one of the best investments I've made for tank maintenance. I've tried a lot of other scrapers to get coralline algae off my glass and its a workout. I had my entire 210 gallon aquarium clean in 15 minutes using this product. Magnet holds strong to the glass and scrapes everything away with ease. BUY THIS PRODUCT! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

Great investment!!!

This product is great! My reef tank is very hard to get the glass clean down towards the sand bed and in some of the corners of the glass with traditional algae scraper magnets. Even the scrapers with handles work well but lack sometimes. I bought this after some thought since I hate wasting money but figured even if it worked fairly well it would be a worthwhile purchase. I got this thing in and went to town on my freshwater and saltwater tanks. The glass looks great now. The flipping action will take some getting use to but that will come in time. I can see myself really loving this product for years to come.

Flipper Max

Initially worked great with the plastic blade ON ACRYLIC, removed algae and light coralline. Plastic blade apparently dulled, have tried to sharpen with no results. Would give this a five if replacement blades were available on site, would not recommend for acrylic if replacement blades are not available.

Not quite strong enough

I bought a Regular strength Flipper for my 215g bow front with 1/2 inch glass. Its not strong enough in my opinion, so I'll get the Maximum and update my review. The little that I have used it makes me think that this is going to be a great device once I get one strong enough for my tank.

Flipper cleaner works!!!

I have a 250 gallon acrylic aquarium reef tank. I always take an hour or two on the weekends cleaning out green algae spots and purple coraline. I would have to reach my arm in with a pole and scraper to try to remove and it's always a difficult job. The new flipper makes it really easy. A job that would take me two hours now takes me about 15 minutes. You do have to be careful in rotating the device as you can scratch an acrylic tank. But as long as you move the magnet back-and-forth, it does a great job removing coraline algae spots. Its a very creative invention, wish i had thought about it.
