I'm a Fan!!

The temperature sensor this heater has is very accurate. I purchased two 200 watt heaters 6 years ago for my 120 gallon and they worked perfectly all that time. Around the 6 year mark the led light went out on one. I lived with it like that for a while but missed being able to easily see the temperature (now I needed to use a flashlight). Then one day I received a message from my Apex unit that the sump water level was elevated. When I got home I found the GFI outlet tripped and half my tank had no power (lucky I have two return pumps on different outlets). I have a tank with 2 overflows. Anyway I assumed the heater was the cause so I removed the two 6 year old heaters and didn't hesitate to buy two new fresh Fluvals. I researched all the heaters currently on the market and was willing to switch to something more advanced but couldn't find anything better. I still feel these are the best, most advanced on the market as of today. They have a good quality feel too.

Works Well

I am using this heater for my 55 gallon tank, installation was easy and works well, so far, only had it for a month or so. Only down side was that it had to be back ordered, and took a little longer to receive it.

Fluval 300 Watt

I ordered one of these a couple of months ago and then realized I needed another heater for my big tank. So in a hurry I picked one up at the local fish store and it sucks. Now I am back on here ordering another one of these Fluval 300 Watt it works great and I love the window that lets me know what the tank temp is. I highly recommend one of these

awesome!

I ordered 2 of these and they are very easy to use. They work great. The visual display makes it easy to tell what the temp setting is at.

a good heater

This is a good heater. I checked it in comparison with a thermometer, the temperatures were close and the temperature on the signal was quite accurate. The only potential issue is that because of the plastic shield around the glass tube, the heater absolutely must be in a tank that has good water circulation to keep water moving against the heating element.

Excellent Product

This heater is the best on the market. I was using another brand but always "felt" that it was giving false readings. Set this one up and I was right. It was running my tank 2 degrees warmer than I had it set for. This heater immediately corrected the issue and has been working flawlessly. I also invested in back up temp monitoring and it confirmed that this Fluval heater is the exact temp its set for. Awesome product, only wish I have is it didn't use suction cups. Would have been better off with some sort of magnets to hold it in place. Still it's a perfect heater and would recommend it!

Great heater

I have four of these 2 X 50W, 200W and 300W and they're all doing great especially at night time. Easy to read the temperature and very accurate readings. ( I still have the original basic thermometers also installed and compare them just to make sure readings are correct.

Excellent Heater

This is an excellent heater. The integrated LCD is great and the color coding lets you know at a glance if the temp is correct. Love that the glass in covered and that it is easily disassembled for cleaning. I have the heater horizontal near the substrate and it keeps the temp to within a half degree. Use the wattage rating only as a guide, ALL aquarium heaters can only raise the temperature of the tank a certain degrees above room temp, so instead of relying on the number printed on the box do a bit of math before you purchase. I needed the 100 watt to heat a 9 gallon tank (actually 7.5 gallons when you calculate the thickness of the glass and the fact that you don't fill it to the top)
