Comments: We bought Fluval Canister Filter because we had very bad experience with Eheim Classic External Canister Filter. Fluval comes with very good instructions, DVD, so if you are beginner it will be very easy to undertand how put the filter together. It's very convenient for maintenance, very-very quiet. We have aquatic turtles and had to clean water every another day. Now it's crystal clean! Turtles are happy, so are we! It was make for customer! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The stop valve feature on this filter makes maintenance quick and dry with very minimal water dripage. I've been using it on a 30 gall saltwater tank for the almost a year now and have not noticed any ill effects on protein skimming. The media baskets are big enough for everything I've put in them. My only complaint with this filter is I wish opening the top could have been a little easier. The natural suction that goes on inside the canister makes you have use a little elbow grease to get the top off. There could have been more room to get a good grip on the lid. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

My thoughts on the fluval 305. by ALEX MADILL

Comments: I was sold this product by the LFS for my 56 gallon deep reef tank. It does give some moderate filtration and will clear up the water. The downside to this product is the tubeing easily gets clogged. and it is very hard to open the top for cleaning after you have had it for a while. It does produce good flow and is pretty quiet. With that being said I do beleive there are much better choices of cannister filters out there. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: We ordered a Hagen Fluval 405 Canister Filter for our 70 gallon fish tank from Marine Depot. The order was placed on their web site and we had our filter delivered within two days. Our filter was installed and is working perfectly. It is of narrow design and fits behind the stand for our tank, completely out of sight. Additionally, this filter operates silently, which is of great benefit. We are very pleased with the service we received from Marine Depot and the product we obtained. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: For more than 12 years, my husband and I have enjoyed viewing our 200 gal. aquarium and had used the Fluval 403 filter. Comments: My old 204, some 10 years old, suffered plastic aging fatigue failure. I like the small upgrades on the 205, especially in the failure area around the motor unit clasps. The new tubing braces and suction cups are greatly improved, too. I can imagine no better and easier to use unit in this price range. The only way to get a better unit would be to go up to stainless steel heavy duty professional construction, in my opinion. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I am a year old with it propeels and it to decomposed, it makes a noise and it does not work, it is united, it is not good filter, flight water, I do not recommend a friend I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I had done a lot of internet research prior to purchasing a filter. Almost all of the reviews i read were very good, as will mine be! All the bad reviews should be disregarded as anyone who has trouble with this filter should abandon fish and take up hermit crabs!! The dvd that comes with the filter makes the install a breeze, and is very helpful! Once the filter was up and running the change was almost instant. Within an hour my tank was noticeably clearer, and the fish seemed happier. I have a 38 gallon tank with 4 Oscars. It has maintained my tank beautifully crystal clear and the fish were never happier! The disconnect system should be a standard for every canister filter and makes maintenance a breeze! If you are in the market for a canister filter BUY A FLUVAL!!! Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: The fluval canister is made of a rubber substance. If you are using this in a saltwater tank and also using a protein skimmer, the oils from the rubber may interfere with the protein skimmer's foam production. Despite running the canister under hot water for 15 minutes and wiping repeatedly with a sponge, foam is still impacted. Additional item; the silver tab on the aquastop can easily break (mine arrived broken). I am replacing with a german brand filter and gave the fluval 305 away on craigslist. I would not recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I have had a few canister filters over a period of six years...... This brand was my first and will be my only product in the fucture. The size of the cansiter filter is the 305, my tank is only 55 gallons, but the current generated is great. Only one thing i would like to see with this model is an extra basket for other media. In my experience, being creative with media helps. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: Sorry my english is not very fluid but i will express my joy about this filter.I just started a 100 gal reef aquarium and half an hour after I installed I could see the difference. The water now is crystal clear and I know it will get better and better. So do not waste time thinking about it. Get one. Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.

Comments: I do not recomend Fluval to any one, is made by cheap plastic everithing, is not worth the money, o ring is very easy to leak, siphon unpluged everytime. part are cheacp plastic. Worst $200 spend I would not recommend this product to my friends.
