Very Pleased

I decided to go big on my 120 gallon reef setup. Very pleased, amazed at the amount of water this moves. It is very quiet and generates nearly no heat to the touch. Probably with get the SP4 for the closed circuit side of my tank as well.

Pumps Great

I purchased this pump as a back up replacement to the same pump that I already have in service on my 300 gallon reef tank. Works well and very quite.

Fluval SP 4

I have all of the SP Fluval models on my system doing one thing or another. They are quiet good flow for each model and they just keep on pumping with no problems. Yes I have 3 models 2 4 and 6, the two runs my system to empty and fill up my tank the four powers my Nu Clear filter and the 6 runs my circulation through my 4 foot UV system and then into my 5000 external co2 reactor them back into my tank. They three work flawlessly, and quietly and runs cool...It seems Fluval picked up there products to a new level.

Very Powerful and Efficient

This is my second Fluval SP pump that I have purchased. I own an SP4 as well, I liked it so much that for my most recent build (clownfish breeding system) I decided to get the SP6 instead of the Reeflo I was planning on getting. This pump is extremely powerful and deals very well with headloss. It is quiet, and runs much cooler than the Mag Drive pumps I have used in the past. I replaced my Mag 9 with an SP4 and it more than doubles the water volume with minimal head loss, is quieter, cooler and consumes around the same amount of power.

Great pump

This pump is very very quiet for the amount of water it moves. Only reason it does not get 5 stars is the manufacturer lists it as 4.5" wide and it is actually about 1/8" wider than that. It was going to be very tight at 4.5", and now it is actually touching the baffle in the return section of my sump. On the bright side it is so smooth and quiet that I am going to leave it and not tear the sump apart to make more room.
